Warner Bros. Discovery + Food Network created a life changing experience for FEF students where curiosity and creativity thrived. We are so grateful to be a part of this amazing opportunity!
Congratulations to the inaugural cohort that recently completed our Food Network Intern Immersion boot camp in partnership with Food Education Fund! The 3-day program in New York helps prepare young people from all backgrounds for careers in the culinary industry, including food media, through hands-on training, guest speakers, workshops, and a culminating competition based on Food Network’s fan-favorite series, #Chopped. We're excited to see what these future food leaders do next!

This summer, #TaoGroupHospitality partnered with the Food Education Fund and Mohari Hospitality to launch a Culinary Youth Development Summer Program. We invited 5 high school students from boroughs across NY to participate in an immersive 8-week summer program inside our kitchens at Cathédrale, TAO Downtown, and Sake No Hana. As part of their experience, they prepared a meal for special guests. This is how it went…. #TaoGroupHospitality is proud to partner with the Food Education Fund and Mohari Hospitality to launch a Culinary Youth Development Summer Program. The mission of the Food Education Fund is to prepare and empower students interested in the culinary arts, hospitality, and entrepreneurship and help them continue their education through experiential learning. We have invited 5 high school students from boroughs across NY to participate in an immersive 8-week summer program inside our kitchens at Cathédrale, TAO Downtown, and Sake No Hana. The program will cover culinary fundamentals, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and food safety and sanitation. Participants will rotate through different kitchen stations, such as prep, line, and pastry, to gain exposure to various roles and responsibilities in a professional kitchen setting. They will gain practical skills, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience to kickstart their culinary journey and pursue their passion for food with confidence and enthusiasm! Attended the 2nd Annual Taste of Tomorrow culinary career college fair, hosted at Park West Campus where Food and Finance High School and HS of Hospitality Management daily prepare our students for careers in culinary arts and hospitality management. Demonstrations in pasta and bread making, baking, and spice blending, along with workshops such as Science of Ice Cream and Content Creation in the World of Food & Beverage with core focus in culinary arts, hospitality management, business, and media. Our executive director, Danielle Beam, Ed. D.'s represented FEF at the Community Development Champions luncheon hosted by Goldman Sachs. It was a day of insightful conversations, meaningful connections, and forward-thinking discussions. A huge thank you to Asahi Pompey of Goldman Sachs who set the stage for a day filled with inspiration and learning. During the engaging panel, “Peeling Back the Curtain,” we heard from influential voices in the funding world, including Jumee Song from Siegel Family Endowment, Sarah Oltmans of Robin Hood, and Sabrina Fong from the Ford Foundation. Their insights on funding strategies and trends were not only enlightening but also immensely beneficial. We are incredibly grateful to Goldman Sachs for this opportunity and their continued support of the Food Education Fund. It was a day filled with learning, growth, and networking with amazing nonprofit champions, each dedicated to making a significant impact in their communities.
