It’s back-to-school season but this year feels a little different for Alison Epler. The former school principal has a whole new career, and now she’s one of the first faces you’ll see when you join Ford. As a senior specialist in Learning & Development, part of her job includes facilitating New Hire Orientation, both in-person and remotely. The former school principal says that in her previous career, her guiding principle was to do what's best for the kids, so Ford's higher purpose of "building a better world, where every person is free to move and pursue their dreams" aligned with her core values. "I like that Ford is committed to making quality products AND serving people and our communities." She and her husband are parents to a high-schooler and a Michigan State freshman. The family enjoys running, golfing, fishing, and winters at the ski hill. For most people, a full-time job and parenthood is enough to tire them out, but not Alison -- early mornings, evenings, and weekends you can also catch her teaching spin, strength, and yoga classes! Welcome to Ford, Alison! Would you like a job that makes you look forward to Mondays? Learn more at http://spr.ly/6045mnFx5. #WeAreFord #NewHireSpotlight

Every intern has their own unique Ford story. University of Florida engineering student Gabriel Leon shared his experience as he wrapped up his time as a Supplier Technical Assistance intern at the Chicago Assembly Plant. Thanks for sharing, Gabriel! #WeAreFord #FordIntern

Launch STA Intern @ Ford | Former Intern @ RTX | BSME @ UF

Wrapping up an incredible summer internship at Ford Motor Company! At Ford's Chicago Assembly Plant I had the privilege of working with the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) team, contributing to the exciting 2025 Model Year launch for the Explorer, Interceptor, and Lincoln Aviator. One of the highlights was helping these vehicles achieve Ok-to-buy status, ensuring they could be shipped out and made available to customers worldwide. Being in Chicago itself was an amazing experience! The city offered so much to explore, and I even had the incredible opportunity to attend NASCAR in person – a perfect complement to my automotive internship! This experience has been truly enlightening, providing deep insights into the processes behind bringing new models to market. I'm amazed at how much I've learned about supplier relationships, engineering problem-solving, and the complexities of automotive manufacturing. Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to what's next! #FordIntern #AutomotiveIndustry #SummerInternship

How many people can say they’re doing the job they dreamed about when they were seven years old? Paul Wraith, chief program designer, wanted to design cool cars, trucks and vans when he grew up. Seven-year-old Paul had no idea that job would also take him all over the world and that he’d bring the iconic Ford Bronco roaring back to life. Considering a career at Ford? Paul says, “There are things you won’t see in commercials, your social feed, or in the news, but I get to see it every day – the secret future of Ford. All I can say is it’s amazing.” Learn how you can be part of that future at www.careers.ford.com. #WeAreFord #FordDesign #FordBronco

Ten lucky Ford Australia employees got to see what it takes to get a new automotive design from concept to the creation of a 3D life-sized model. The employees are Ford Insiders, a group of employee advocates who share Ford news and experiences internally and externally, and they learned that a vehicle begins with a great design brief and theme. Max Tran, chief designer, Ford Australia, said the Ranger Raptor’s theme “was desert running off-road performance,” for example. Designers then take that information and begin to sketch with on paper or digital tablet until they find the perfect iteration. From there, the approved concept moves to virtual modeling, where the team can stretch, sculpt and make rapid changes on the 3D design. Using mixed reality, the team can then collaborate on virtual models in real time with colleagues around the world. “Mixed reality is really clever technology and really cool to experience first-hand,” said Gabriel Dalfre, connected vehicle software engineer and Ford Insider. Next, the design comes to life in clay. Despite all the digital tools available, clay modeling is vital in the design process. Armed with their sculpting tools, the clay modeling team takes 4,000 kilograms, or nearly 9,000 pounds of clay and molds it into a full-sized vehicle. They don’t just shape the vehicle -- just about everything from the seats to the dashboard are made from clay and finished to look like the real thing for the design director and chiefs to approve. The Ford Insiders were thrilled to see a totally different area of Ford and meet their colleagues who guide the earliest stages of the vehicle production process. Looking for a career where you can literally shape vehicles of the future? Learn more at http://spr.ly/6048lqY4k. #WeAreFord #FordDesign #FordAustralia

Together, the Ford Volunteer Corps and the University Relations team introduced 132 interns to Ford's culture of community impact with four projects at Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan for #NationalInternDay. Our interns volunteered to pack and sort 40,000 lbs. of food over two days, resulting in 32,000 meals for area families. A few of the interns shared their thoughts: Evan O’Connell, a Global Operations Intern for Ford Land from the The University of Alabama, was drawn to Ford’s legacy of giving back and wanted to be a part of it. “I set out to make a positive change in our local community because I know what it’s like to go through tough times.” Lilyan Toma, a Ford Cyber Security intern from Wayne State University, was inspired by her immigrant upbringing to support families navigating similar struggles. “I learned that no matter what, even a small impact can lead to a bigger outcome. Volunteering means giving back without expecting anything in return but cherishing that you have impacted a family.” Arthur Hamilton, a Ford Human Centered Design intern from Western Washington University, appreciated the paid volunteer time benefits that Ford offers its U.S. salaried employees. “At Gleaners, I learned to connect with my fellow interns through a common goal and have open communication when action needed to be taken.” Ford interns join a long legacy of Ford employees who have helped strengthen the bond we have with our communities. Last year, Ford employees dedicated more than 1.4 million volunteer hours to causes they care about in their communities. Find out how you can be part of a company that believes in giving back at http://spr.ly/6043liWgx. #WeAreFord #FordIntern Ford Philanthropy

It began on Aug. 17, 1904. Although barely one year old, Ford took its first step outside of the U.S. into Canada when Henry Ford and Gordon McGregor inked a deal that created the Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited. Production began in Walkerville, now Windsor, Ontario and 17 employees built 117 cars, including Ford Model C and Model B, in the first year. As the country’s longest-established automaker, Ford of Canada is proud to have employed thousands of Canadians over the years and produced everything from cars and trucks to vans and SUVs, not to mention Ford V8 engines. “Although 120 years in Canada is an incredible milestone, what makes me proud is the innovation and determination it took to get here,” said Beverly Goodman, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “That hard work has made the Ford F-Series the best-selling pickup in Canada for 58 consecutive years and has made Ford the best-selling automotive brand in the country for 15 years running.” “The heart that has powered this organization for 120 years and will propel us into the future is our people,” said Goodman. “Our amazing Canadian team, along with our network of Dealers, have always been at the core of our success and longevity.” Every Ford rolling down a Canadian road reflects 120 years of experience, knowledge, and innovation. Looking forward, we’ll continue to be here for Canadians in the decades and centuries ahead – every step of the way. Building trust, one kilometre, one moment, one Ford, at a time.
