After a two year hiatus to design a fresh take on an already incredible program, this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, with 6 singles and 4 albums being added to an incredible roster consisting of 1,152 of music's iconic recordings. We are incredibly proud of this partnership that the GRAMMY Museum formed with The Recording Academy to celebrate some of music's most influential recordings. And, we'll do so in style, with the inaugural GRAMMY Hall of Fame Gala, presented by City National Bank, on May 21st at The Novo at LA LIVE, with a VIP reception and red carpet at The Ray Charles Terrace at the GRAMMY Museum. I think it embodies who he was, an artist who made music that inarguably was beyond great. Like the artist himself, his music is iconic! This gift from the Ray Charles Foundation is the largest single gift in the museum's history and one of the proudest moments of my tenure at The GRAMMY Museum. I cannot thank Valerie Ervin and the Foundation enough for entrusting us with such an investment, one that will impact countless young people across the country through our music education programs!
