We’re saying a bittersweet goodbye this week to our seven amazing AmeriCorps members. If you’ve volunteered with us in the last 11 months, you’ve probably met one of our Watershed Stewards Program or California Climate Action Corps fellows. They have been out in the field (rain or shine!) sharing their knowledge of plants and animals, weeding and planting alongside volunteers, and bringing so much joy to Grassroots Ecology and our communities. This year, we held over 400 events and engaged more than 7,000 volunteers…and none of it would have been possible without our AmeriCorps members! Claire, Dash, Elisa, Laura, Maya, Perla, and Petra: thank you! We can’t wait to see you thrive as you embark on your careers in environmental stewardship and climate action.
