Our Founding Story
When Dr. Rick Workman realized there had to be a better way for dentists to practice, he assembled a team, “We began as a small group of like-minded doctors who wanted to build quality practices in the communities we love.” Now, Heartland Dental supports a network of over 2,800 doctors in 1,700+ locations country-wide. “I always viewed our mission at Heartland Dental as a way to help every supported doctor become as good as they could possibly be, to better serve patients," shared Dr. Workman.

Heartland Dental supported offices understand the importance of giving back and its impact on their local communities. Our team members and supported doctors take part in philanthropic events each year. They actively participate in mission trips, community outreach, Free Dentistry Days™ and programs like My Free Smile™. The Heartland Dental Foundation’s economic hardship program helps Heartland Dental team members get back on their feet after a disaster, emergency, or illness.
