VERSES Update on Spatial Web Standards Approval at the IEEE In September 2020, the standard for Spatial Web Protocol, Architecture and Governance (P2874) launched under the guidelines of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE-SA). The final steps before publishing include a period where the comments of the non approval votes are addressed, then the standards will move to the review committee for the process to be reviewed and verified. Following this administrative period the standards will be publicly published later this year. “The final approval of voting of this ballot is the culmination of years of work and a monumental step forward in the Spatial Web and the future of computing,” said George Percivall, Distinguished Engineering Fellow at the Spatial Web Foundation and Vice Chair of the Working Group. #Intelligence #SpatialWeb #SmarterWorld #Governance #IEEE
