Class was in session with the Chicago Bears at Halas Hall last week. Hope Scholars networked with front office employees at the Chicago Bears Career Expo to learn more about the hard work and dedication that it takes to work in sports. Special shoutout to Kevin Warren and George McCaskey for taking time out of their day to share some words of advice with our students. It was a day that the Hope Scholars will never forget. #BearDown 💙🧡🐻

Thank you to The Chicago Community Trust, Andrea Sáenz, and Caleb Herod for welcoming our CEO, Janice Jackson, EdD, in for a collaborative conversation on postsecondary challenges and developing solutions facing Chicago families with one of our proud partners, Chancellor Marie Lynn Miranda at the University of Illinois Chicago. Rooms like these continue to reinforce that Chicago can do big things when we work together, and Illinois is a growing hub for postsecondary innovation. Just as three cohorts of Hope Scholars will soon be moving through their first, second, and third years of postsecondary experiences—we MUST keep the momentum up to recalibrate higher ed so all students in Illinois (and America) who seek a #postsecondary education can realize their fullest potential. #hopechicago

She is the example of what can be with hard work, perseverance and belief in yourself. Today marks the end of an incredible chapter with my internship at Akoya Capital, LLC. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked under the guidance of Matt Winkeljohn and Karen Scalise, whose mentorship has been invaluable. The entire team at Akoya Capital welcomed me warmly, creating an environment that felt like home from day one. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Akoya Capital for not only teaching me valuable skills but also showing what a supportive and inspiring workplace looks like. I also want to express my gratitude to Hope Chicago for their remarkable C.O.R.E. program, which made this opportunity possible. The skills and experiences gained during this internship will without a doubt shape my future strive. Thank you once again to everyone who has been a part of this journey.
