We’re on a mission to make the planet a better place for the environment, animals and people within — including our families. 🌎🌱❤️ That’s why it was extra special sharing our work with Team Impossible family members during this year’s family day, hosted by our IPACE (Impossible Parents and Caregivers Employees) Employee Resource Group. Shoutout to our IPACE ERG leads, Kyle S. Okada and Aaron Pleitner, Ph.D., as well as Erin Reynolds and Chitra Subramanian for a fun-filled day full of games, community building and meat from plants! 🌭🤸♀️

Last week, our CEO Peter McGuinness sat down with Kevin Frank, MBA, SNS from Detroit Public Schools Community District and Rachel Dreskin from Plant Based Foods Association to discuss the future of food in the K-12 school system. The verdict? Students increasingly care about their ability to make an impact and value their plate to planet connection. We’re glad to strengthen this connection in school lunchrooms by offering delicious plant-based menu items and will continue to do so in school lunch programs across the country. The future of food is meat from plants!

This year marked our Impossible Pride Employee Resource Group’s Second Annual Plant Your Flag Campaign! 🏳️🌈 Throughout the month, Impossible employees and restaurant partners had the option to plant an Impossible Pride toothpick flag in an Impossible dish — celebrating diversity, inclusion and showing support for the LGBTQIA+ community. At Impossible, we stand by the right of every individual to be themselves and are thankful for our partners like The Ruby Fruit and Hi Tops who are committed to doing the same. Thank you to our Pride ERG co-chairs, Emmet Hunker and Taylor Schriver for bringing this wonderful campaign to life. Happy Pride! 🫶

Friday was our annual Juneteenth Farmers Market, hosted by our Impossible Black Employee Resource Group (IBERG). The market was full of local Black-owned Bay Area businesses with their products on display, delicious food, and of course, a photo booth for attendees to capture memories from the day. Thank you to our IBERG leadership council for holding our biggest farmers market event yet and to the vendors for stopping by! Local to the Oakland area? 37,900 samples, one FABI Award and 4 days later…our time at the National Restaurant Association Show has come to a close. We loved sharing our meat from plants at one of the most influential showcases of foodservice innovation and inspiration. See you next year! 🌭🌿🍔❤️
