  • A core value of InfiniteCAL's has always been to ensure consumers have access to clean, quality cannabis. And it's been our pride and joy to work with other companies in the industry who share that same value. The next step in this mission is to clean up the use of harmful pesticides beyond the 66 that the DCC requires. We've validated a new panel that tests for more than 300 additional compounds that should not be used on cannabis crops. While this testing is not mandatory, it should be the industry's goal to make sure these contaminants don't find their way to dispensary shelves. We commend the operators who have already started to screen for these additional compounds and the retailers driving this and making it a requirement for their stores. Please reach out to us if you feel the company you work for should be a part of this movement. #cleanweedforthepeople #knowyourfarmer

Took a shot at reviewing the CA allowable pesticide usage on cannabis to provide some clarity. Hope this helps operators in the industry understand what is and isn't permitted. There are reasons why there are strict regulations for pesticide application on consumer products and that all goes back to public safety from the person applying the pesticides all the way to the people consuming the final product. Not following these regulations are punishable by law and should not be tolerated in the cannabis industry. Please repost and share this, let me know if you think something is incorrect in my interpretation. #cleanweedforthepeople #knowyourfarmer Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs

  • It’s been an eventful few weeks for Anresco Laboratories (Anresco) and Infinite Chemical Analysis Laboratories (ICAL) due to the publication of our pesticide results in a recent LA Times article and the subsequent news of our lawsuit against other cannabis laboratories in the State of California. In response, some of the affected brands and labs have lashed out at us, accusing us of being ‘failed laboratories’ ‘just trying to make a buck’. One even had a conspiracy board where they accused us of colluding with the DCC and LA Times to take them down. The CEO of ICAL has received death threats. The truth of the matter is we’ve been trying to address the issues of potency inflation and misreporting of contaminant findings for years. On our own dime (ICAL in particular), we’ve proactively purchased and tested hundreds of samples off of store shelves. The screenings were not focused on any brand or lab in particular, but rather performed to determine the pervasiveness of the issues. We provided data to the DCC, sent them letters with recommended changes, and held meetings with them both individually and as part of trade organizations, and the situation only got worse. We went public with our concerns only when all other options were exhausted. We are highly confident in the results published by the LA Times. The samples were blindly confirmed not only by our own labs but also SC Labs. We take no joy in making certain brands or labs look bad, but contaminated products deserve to be recalled and enforcement should be taken regardless of whether the brands and/or labs intentionally tried to deceive the public or not. Public safety demands it. Our intent is not to destroy the California Cannabis industry, far from it. The biggest differentiators between the regulated and unregulated markets is the fact that products in the former are supposed to be accurately labeled and safe to consume. Anresco and ICAL are not going anywhere and are committed to making that promise meaningful again. - Anresco Laboratories & Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs

Happy GratiTuesday! I think it is very important to shine the light on people who I admire and are doing wonderful things in the cannabis industry. About two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Josh Swider at one of the Elite Cannabis Operators Mastermind meetings. Josh runs Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs and educated all of us on cannabis safety when it came to conversion oil and vape hardware. In an industry where we are saying that we are "healing people" and have a "passion for the plant" I tend to see a lot of people/brands taking shortcuts in order to turn a bigger profit. I can totally understand why brands do this, it is a tough industry and in order to keep the lights on and stay competitive, they have to find ways to cut costs and increase margins. Unfortunately, it is the consumer that suffers because of this and let's face it, we have done a great job marketing all the positives of cannabis and doing a really good job hiding the things we don't know or we don't want the consumers to think about. I was also shocked to learn that many analytics labs provide inconsistent data when you compare results of the same item being tested. Josh's approach to testing is what it ought to be, figuring out ways to identify if anything in the products has a negative effect on our health, not just doing the minimum testing so that you can get your products on the shelf. I want to acknowledge the great work Josh is doing and if you are a brand that really wants to ensure that your growing, your manufacturing, etc is producing a product that is HELPING your customers, I would highly recommend reaching out and working with Josh. As with most PHDs, he isn't a slick talking salesperson so I want to make sure that brands in CA and MI know that there is a higher standard to testing that is available, and doing that testing will only IMPROVE YOUR BRAND. I am GRATEFUL that individuals like Josh still exist 🙏

🚨🚨🚨 - It's no surprise that potency is still being inflated even after the implementation of a standardized method. Labs without integrity will manipulate whatever data they need to keep their doors open. It's time for this to end.

Whoop, there it is! The first recall for potency inflation. Since the start of the year, all of the flower in California has been required to be tested with the DCC's standardized method. The standardization was supposed to eliminate inflation, but the same labs that had scrupulous practices before the start of the year are back to their old habits and have found ways to manipulate results. In the past few months I have been told by multiple companies that "Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs has the best customer service, fastest turnaround time, and most accurate results, but lab X, Y, and Z are reporting higher THC so we are going to go with them instead." It's been brutal to hear, but hopefully this recall serves as a warning that choosing to work with a lab that falsifies results carries a high level of risk and may put you on this recall list as well. Like I said in my last post, companies that work with Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs care about the accuracy and quality of what they sell. If your company is tired of the cheating that's going on throughout the state then you know where to find us. Shout out to the Department of Cannabis Control for shutting this fucking shit down.

California is seeing recall, after recall, after recall. This is what happens when labs routinely falsify results to keep their doors open. How many more recalls will we see? How many more brands reputations will be negatively impacted because they chose to work with a lab that was cutting corners? Really wish the Department of Cannabis Control would start including what labs tested these products so brands could start seeing the patterns in order to protect themselves from the bad actors willing to do anything to earn business. At Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs, our clients choose to work with us because they care about the quality of their products and the safety of consumers. To those of you who don't work with us yet, shoot me a DM if selling quality cannabis is your priority too.

  • Happy New Year! In classic DCC fashion, InfiniteCAL was informed that we were approved to run the new method, but somehow left us off the list they published over the weekend. Maybe it was an end of year oversight, maybe it's because of all the feathers we've ruffled advocating the DCC to do its job. A mystery that we likely won't get answers to. Nonetheless, we are grateful to see they've updated the list this morning and included our lab. The conversations we've had so far have given us hope that this will bring a positive change to the industry. We look forward to connecting with many more of you as we dive head first into 2024!

By now you have probably seen the Department of Cannabis Control’s email putting the industry on notice about potency inflation. Since then I’ve seen and heard numerous labs preparing their clients to expect lower results as enforcement ramps up. Labs have also claimed the standardized flower method will change their results. This can only mean one of two things: 1) The lab’s making this claim have been unintentionally producing inaccurate results because they don’t know what they are doing and need guidance on developing a proper method. Or 2) The lab’s making this claim have been fraudulently inflating potency to get more business. What a major red flag! 🚩 🚩🚩 At Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs we’ve been publishing accurate numbers since day one. The clients that work with us (as well as many that don’t) know they can trust the results we publish, and know that they will continue to see consistent results without a drop in potency. That is what happens when you maintain an unflinching commitment to accuracy and precision. InfiniteCAL was the first lab to have our methods fully vetted by the DCC and as a result, we were granted the first annual license in California almost two years ago. Since then, the Department has verified the accuracy of our results time and time again without finding a single discrepancy. Most importantly, our flower potency method produces consistent results with the DCC’s standardized method that will be implemented at the beginning of the new year. The industry has put pressure on all parties to produce higher THC numbers. But the tides are changing. The labs publishing these numbers will have to change their ways or risk shut downs and product recalls. If you are a cultivator, manufacturer, distributor, or dispensary this can directly affect your reputation and your bottom line. That’s where we come in. Trusting our results means trusting that you are providing the consumer with a safe, consistent product, while keeping yourself operating and compliant. It’s never too late to ditch these laboratories that have caused so much havoc in the industry. They’ve devalued the quality of cannabis and cannabis products that honest, hardworking companies have put their blood, sweat and tears into. It’s time to stop rewarding them for misleading consumers and time to start providing honest analytics you can trust. We are at a pivotal point in the industry, and legitimacy is the only way cannabis will continue to progress.
