Something big is coming to our Lenexa campus in 2025... We’re excited to unveil a new space for our engineering employees that’s designed to fuel innovation and collaboration. The new six-story, 183,000-square-foot building will be the fourth facility and newest addition to our campus located in the City Center District. It will feature a café and coffee bar, a 200-seat auditorium, a small event area and plenty of office space for new and existing employees. Those in the area might have noticed the Kiewit sign recently installed on the top of the building. Crews will soon begin site paving around the new building and installing metal panels on the exterior. Elevators are currently getting installed and interior finishes are underway, including ceramic tile and paint. The parking garage expansion is nearly complete and will be open by Labor Day. We're looking forward to our people seeing the new space and further growing our presence in Lenexa!

An exciting moment for Kiewit employee Jeff Jendryk and his family. His son and the USA Men’s Volleyball team took home the bronze medal in Paris! 🥉👏 "We are so proud of Jeffrey and his teammates for representing the USA. He has proven that hard work and dedication pays off in the end. Jeff and his teammates never gave up even after losing in the semi-finals match against the number 1 team in the world (Poland). As a parent being able to watch your son on the world’s biggest stage, it was unbelievable, and something we will never ever forget." Jeff is a vice president of business development for Kiewit's industrial group.

This talented group of leaders is representing Kiewit at the Beavers’ Women in Heavy Civil (WIHC) networking event in Northern California, this week. The mission of WIHC is to provide fellowship opportunities for women in the Heavy Civil workplace, offer outreach and financial support for women embarking on Heavy Civil careers, and to provide educational opportunities for men and women interested in expanding the role of women in the Heavy Civil workforce. We're proud to have Kiewit’s own Vice President of Quality Dee Oswald and Talent Development Director Rae Magistro as part of the WIHC leadership team, who were among the 35 Kiewit employees in attendance. “At Kiewit, we share a common goal to attract, retain and promote women in construction. We do this to not only continue building our talented workforce, but when we are in partnership with WIHC leaders, we advance the Heavy Civil Construction Industry as a whole. There is power in numbers and shared ideas when we collectively raise the voice of women to bring solutions to workforce entry and promotion barriers.” - Dee Oswald
