Prior to joining AV, Okorafor worked at Acumen Fund, Inc. as legal counsel. Thank you to everyone who took part in our #BRIDGE (Build Research Ideas and Generate Evidence) series last week hosted by our Criminal Justice team! Practitioners, law enforcement, and researchers discussed how to research the innovative officer wellness initiatives agencies are implementing, including programs and policies supporting female officers in particular, to improve hiring and retention as the profession faces a staffing crisis. We look forward to our next convening as we continue to search for evidenced-based solutions to improve wellness outcomes, so police agencies can help enhance the mental and physical well-being of their officers.
