We are a nonprofit 501(c) organization focused on providing therapy for those who want to break free of addiction. We believe those who are in recovery can give hope to those struggling with addiction by “Lighting the Path” out of the darkness of addiction. Mission: Bringing hope to those struggling with addiction through connection and assistance with mental health care that is right for them because every individual is unique and valued. Vision: A world where mental health care is available, affordable, and free from stigmatism for every individual. How Lit Path makes a difference: 1) Provide financial assistance to those struggling with addiction through scholarships for mental health therapy to support recovery. 2) Raise funds for mental health therapy scholarships 3) Partner with addiction therapy specialists

This program is available for any therapist nationwide, with certified training in partner trauma care, to offer to their clients to help pay for the cost of treatment. I LOVE THIS ANALOGY: You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the coffee? "Because someone bumped into me!!!" Wrong answer. You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled. So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?" When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratitude, peace and humility? Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies? Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it. Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others. https://lnkd.in/ecyQRp58
