🎉 Student Visionaries of the Year is proud to announce our 2025 Honored Hero, Yamil! Yamil was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 6. Unfortunately, he relapsed in 2023, just 6 months after ending his first treatment. His path this time included a bone marrow transplant, along with stronger chemo and radiation treatments. Yamil kept his spirits high by playing hospital Bingo, singing with the music therapists 🎶 and even scaring his nurses with his remote-control spider. For the past 2 years, Yamil has sent letters to Santa asking for toy donations at hospitals. His dream is to be able to donate to "all the hospitals in the world" so that kids can feel "happy in their hearts" ❤! He has a big mission and therefore he cannot and will not allow cancer to stop him! 🦸♂️
