MIT Bootcamps are intense week-long new ventures leadership programs that challenge participants to develop a sustainable new venture in a week. Innovators come from around the world to learn from MIT faculty and MIT-trained mentors. Bootcampers learn the same innovation framework and curriculum taught in core entrepreneurship classes at MIT, and practice critical skills required to be leaders and drive innovation and collaboration: teamwork, leadership, communication, mutual goal reinforcement, and giving feedback. The Bootcamps are a key component in MIT’s Global Strategy and focuses on shaping the future of education and learning.

“I really appreciate the fact that an established institution like Massachusetts Institute of Technology was offering programs online. This is a model that allows me to access MITx and grow myself as part of a community that shares similar interests and seeks further collaborations, even locally where I live.” Charalampos Sampalis found a wealth of knowledge to advance his career through MIT Open Learning resources like MITx Courses and MIT Bootcamps. “I work full time and it’s not easy at this period of my life to leave everything behind and move to another continent for education," he says. "I strongly believe that education shouldn’t be under boundaries, or strictly belong to specific periods in our lives." 💻 Read Sampalis' story: https://bit.ly/3zhB2XE #OnlineLearning #OnlineEducation #ProfessionalDevelopment #Education #Learning #HigherEducation #ProductManagement #ComputerScience #Innovation #ProfessionalDevelopment

In 2016, Charalampos Sampalis turned to MITx Courses within MIT Open Learning and found a wealth of knowledge and a community of learners who broadened his horizons. Then in 2022, he applied and completed the online MIT Innovation Leadership Bootcamp where he worked with a team to build a venture from scratch. “I was in collaborative mode, having daily interactions with a diverse group of individuals scattered around the world, and that took place during an intensive 10-week period of my life that really taught me a lot,” says Sampalis. “Working with a global team was extremely engaging. It was a highly motivating, even transformative experience.” Read about Sampalis' experience here: https://lnkd.in/emyReEtJ
