NFCC works to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. Founded in 1983, we serve residents in North Fulton in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell. We assist families with basic essentials such as food, rent and utilities, and clothing for short- term emergencies. Adult education classes ranging from GED Prep and English to Financial Literacy and OSHA Certification are offered at no cost to help clients create a path forward. Earlier this summer, we celebrated a milestone anniversary for our longest-serving employee currently on staff! Ruth Font, an NFCC case manager, celebrated her 25th work anniversary! Ruth is an invaluable member of our team, treating each client with dignity and compassion. We are grateful for her many years of service to NFCC and our community. Congratulations, Ruth!
Today we bid farewell to Jeff Rice, our director of operational excellence, and wish him well in his retirement. Jeff has been an invaluable member of our leadership team for five years. Jeff has been instrumental in NFCC's growth, including overseeing the construction of the Barbara Duffy Center and guiding NFCC in implementing new technologies to help us better serve our neighbors in need. We'll miss your presence in the office, but we're incredibly excited for you to embark on this exciting new chapter filled with well-deserved relaxation, adventure, and everything in between!

Seek first to understand. Earlier this week I participated in a poverty simulation at North Fulton Community Charities with some of my Fiserv colleagues. It was: Eye-opening. Heartbreaking. Stressful. Life-changing. When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change. Because you don't really appreciate how blessed you are until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes. They are doing good work at NFCC in the local community and this experience will stay with me forever. #grateful #FiservProud #perspective #empathy
Employees from Fiserv, Morgan Stanley and AUVESY-MDT joined us yesterday for a poverty simulation, a role-playing exercise designed to help community members get a glimpse into the everyday stresses that low-income families face. The tool was designed to build empathy and help people better understand what life is like with a shortage of money and an abundance of stress. NFCC conducted a poverty exercise at Toyota Financial Services Corporation in Alpharetta yesterday. Rob Santossio and his team are also supporting sponsors of our Back-to-School program and recently completed a toiletries drive for NFCC's Food Pantry. We are grateful to be part of their commitment to understand need in their community, and to find ways to give back. We look forward to partnering with Toyota Financial Services to find more opportunities for the whole community to thrive.
