Chancey Fleet’s Library Story began as girl when she visited the Andrew Heiskell Braille &Talking Book Library for the first time. She tells about that first experience, and how it led her to want to teach other visually impaired people to use technology to communicate.
Working at NYPLMeet Javier Velez, Sorting and Distribution Manager, BookOps
Javier Velez is the Sorting and Distribution Manager at BookOps, where materials from The New York Public Library and The Brooklyn Public Library are sorted on a giant laser scanning book sorts. He tells his Library story and the sense of pride he feels training the other workers on the floor, knowing that he’s preparing them with skills that will last a lifetime.
