Celebrating 30 Years - Jose Rodriguez - Compliance Potawatomi Casino Hotel opened its doors 33 years ago, and 30 of those years included the unwavering dedication, positive attitude, and unmatched work ethic of our Director of Compliance, Jose Rodriguez. We are fortunate to have team members like Jose, who have been with us since the beginning. Jose started working part-time in a security role in 1994. He said, "I'm looking forward to working part-time just for the summer." What a summer it has been. Transitioning into compliance and eventually advancing to Director, Jose has remained integral to shaping our property. Chief Financial Officer Kerry Janovitch, CMA, CFE, was honored to present Jose with a custom 30-year crystal award and cash on his anniversary date. Joined by CEO Dominic R. Ortiz, the Compliance Team, leadership, and peers, laughs, memories shared, and good times were had over a personalized cake honoring the anniversary's commendation.

The 2024 Annual Softball Games were a HOMERUN! Yesterday, team members from both Potawatomi Casino Hotel Carter and Potawatomi Casino Hotel properties came together again for another day of epic softball matchups, friendly competition, teamwork, and camaraderie over softball at Milwaukee Brewers' American Family Field. CEO Dominic R. Ortiz let the excitement commence with an opening pitch for each game and words of encouragement to our teams over catch while they warmed up. Yesterday, we celebrated our Hotel Operations team's diligent efforts toward this success with words from our CEO, Dominic R. Ortiz, and Hotel Director, Seung Kim, over a meal and laughter. The AAA Diamond rating system is an independent, comprehensive rating system that evaluates hotels based on various factors like cleanliness, service, and amenities. A hotel's Diamond Rating can range from one to five, with five being the highest possible. Each additional Diamond indicates more extensive services and amenities. Celebrating 25 Years – Patricia Cooper – Security Last week, Security Line Officer Patricia Cooper celebrated her 25th Anniversary. She began working in the Security Department on August 9, 1999. People often say we are like a family here at Potawatomi, and that has been the experience for Patricia, who said, "Being able to work with both my daughters, son-in-law, and cousins all at one time during my 25 years here at Potawatomi is one of my favorite memories." Director of Security, Travis Gervais, the Security Team, leadership, and peers thanked Patricia for her dedication and positive attitude over the past 25 years with a presentation of a custom framed plaque and $750 cash. Thank you for all you have done these past 25 years and all you continue to do- we appreciate you!

Yesterday, the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association held its 29th annual OIGA Conference and Trade Show at the Oklahoma City Convention Center. Our CEO, Dominic R. Ortiz, was invited as a guest speaker for the "National Executive Perspectives" panel moderated by Sheila Morago. Dominic joined Cherokee Nation Entertainment's Executive VP of Strategy & Business Development, Mickey Ward, in answering a series of questions on sportsbook development, entertainment and hospitality initiatives, advancements in technology, and more. Important topics that Dominic shared in his answers include: 1. Emphasizing the role of Tribal sovereignty in shaping Potawatomi Sportsbook and integrity on Tribal interests being a key factor in the successful launch and ongoing operations. 2. Pushing the envelope of entertainment with Potawatomi Amplified outdoor venue hosting iconic performances with Snoop Dogg, Tejano Fest, and more to come. 3. Revolutionizing the casino floor through renovations to culminate a new dynamic and next-level state-of-the-art gaming floor. Afterward, Dominic, joined by Potawatomi Casino VP of Digital Gaming Justin Arnett, spoke with other industry leaders and professionals. Celebrating 25 Years – Shalena McGhee – Table Games Potawatomi Casino Hotel would like to celebrate another team member milestone. Last week Blackjack Dealer and Dual Rate Supervisor Shalena McGhee celebrated her 25 Year Anniversary with us! Shalena started in the slots department on July 20, 1999. “My Auntie forced me to come to the job fair with her and I got hired on the spot and it been history since,” says McGhee. “It is a great place to work with good people.” The Table Games team would like to thank Shalena for her dedication and positive attitude over the past 25 years.
