"The kids have been wildly engaged!" This enthusiastic feedback came from the first two days of “Camp Architecture & Design” at Priority Designs. Hosted each summer by The Center for Architecture and Design, this camp aims to introduce creative kids to various professions in the creative fields. Throughout the weeklong camp, participants build architectural models, visit interior design companies, and, new this year, explore industrial design firms. This year’s theme is Sustainability. Campers envision extreme weather scenarios 100 years in the future and construct conceptual models of future structures. The PD team facilitated brainstorming sessions and guided the kids through activities focused on four key areas: communication devices, portable shelters, medical/rescue tools, and protective wearables. Campers were captivated by Ludwin Moras' impressive sketching skills and Eric Fickas' ability to connect using his engaging “radio talk show voice.” We eagerly anticipate the next round of campers and the energy and inspiration they will bring! #CampArchitecture #Sustainability

Apple pencil's haptic feedback and new gestures may simulate paper, as long as it can avoid the uncanny valley... In the digital era, there's a growing appreciation for tactile experiences reminiscent of traditional tools. Take the recently released Apple Pencil Pro, for example, with features that include haptic feedback and barrel roll which incorporate tactile sensations and enhances the overall user experience. While the integration of tactile sensations enriches the user experience, it’s crucial that they be well-executed. Sara Bodde, a senior human factors specialist at Priority Designs, recently shared her insights on the subject and its implications with Lifewire. Have you tried the new Apple Pencil Pro? How do you feel the realism, quality and consistency stacks up to its real-life counterpart? #ApplePencilPro #InteractiveDesign #TechInnovation #TactileDigitalExperiences #ProductDesign #ProductDevelopment https://lnkd.in/gR8D5snx
