To co-design Soluna, a mental health resource for California youth, the IDEO team engaged another 150 young people to help design, shape, and test the app. At the same time, Kooth and IDEO created a clinical oversight group, which included a pediatrician, therapists, and other clinical specialists. The pandemic ushered in a new era of #travel that galvanized dramatic changes in the #hospitality industry. Factors like construction costs, smaller market cities, and the rise of “bleisure” trips (business 🤝 leisure) all provided challenges for hotels to meet traveler expectations. In 2023, IHG Hotels & Resorts partnered with IDEO to build Garner, a midscale hotel brand designed to cultivate a welcoming and adventurous atmosphere. The team created a custom logo rendered by hand, bespoke navigation icons, and a full interior and exterior signage system. Want to learn how to craft successful negotiations? Listen in! 📣 Ex-hostage negotiator Richard Mullender will lead a session on elite-level listening, teaching us how to pick up on the unintentional insights required to gain permission to persuade.

 In his work, Richard has helped negotiate the release of UN workers, trained the FBI, and became a lead trainer at Scotland Yard. Today, he runs The Listening Institute and provides elite-level negotiation training for use in business.
