The Army is working on restructuring its signal battalions as technology advances and shapes the battlefield. According to an article the Army published, Signal Corps: Transformation and Progress Continue, the goal is to reduce the number of military occupational specialty (MOS) roles to create “…a course that develops multifunctional senior NCOs capable of integrating signal into multidomain operations (MDO).” By providing Signal Corps members with more holistic training at the division level, battalions can be supported with fewer people without compromising capabilities. This restructuring lets the Army move network and data-focused roles to the division level, allowing brigades to focus more on mobility and combat. • Our sister company, ZKX Solutions, successfully tested its cybersecurity platform and flagship product, Helix, at the U.S. Army Cyber Quest 24 event at Fort Eisenhower in Augusta, GA. This is a big step forward for cybersecurity at the tactical edge.

ZKX Solutions recently attended the U.S. Army Cyber Quest 24 event at Fort Eisenhower in Augusta, GA. During this event, we demonstrated the novel capabilities of our cybersecurity platform, Helix, at the tactical edge. Helix is the only cybersecurity platform built specifically for the tactical environment. In the exercise, Helix successfully conducted multi-factor authentication via a satellite connection in a simulated limited bandwidth environment. We also successfully demonstrated dynamic access controls, where Helix dynamically modified authentication levels based on geolocation and “under-fire” parameters.  Read the full release to learn more about ZKX Solution’s demonstration at Cyber Quest.  https://lnkd.in/eGkAeDiv

  • Time for an important non-sales message. The son of a REDCOM team member has been going through health issues and we just learned that he needs a liver transplant. Please read Jeff's post below, and visit the link to learn more about Adam's condition. All of us at REDCOM stand with Jeff and his son, and hope that by spreading the word someone out there may be able to help.

Vice President Of Engineering at REDCOM Laboratories, Inc.

Taking off my professional hat for a moment to share some personal news in hopes that it can raise awareness. My son Adam has been hospitalized since March, and we have recently learned that he needs a liver transplant. He has undergone the transplant evaluation and is now listed on the national UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) waiting list. For many liver patients such as Adam, there is also the option of receiving a partial liver from a living donor. It is our hope that Adam will be able to receive a donor liver before his liver fails or he becomes too sick to receive a transplant. I am posting in hopes that my network will help spread the word about Adam and his need, and also about organ donation (both living and deceased) in general. We have set up a website for people to meet Adam and hear his story, learn more about liver transplantation, and if interested, fill out a Donor Questionnaire to see if they could possibly be a match for Adam. Also, please consider signing up to be a donor to potentially give some family like ours the Gift of Life after your death. Anything you can do to help educate people and get the word out is sincerely appreciated. EDIT: Check out the piece on News 8 Rochester about Adam! https://lnkd.in/g_tVnTnv

  • Shootout for Soldiers is a charity event consisting of 24 back-to-back 1-hour lacrosse games. The money is donated to local non-profits that benefit veterans and currently enlisted service members. This past weekend, REDCOM’s Edwin Carrasquillo, Harry Golouses, Tayler Gordon, Jason Hicks, Greg Erway, and John Kelliher participated in the Shootout for Soldiers lacrosse event. They were joined by members of the Cummins Cardinals and some personal friends. The REDCOM-Cummins team scored three goals and won four face-offs. We are glad to have participated in the event. • When it comes to the acquisition of technology, there is often a vast difference between the price and the cost of a system or device. While there may be a single upfront price, it does not include the hidden life cycle costs. Life cycle costs can vary depending on the product or investment. Regarding technology, the most common life cycle costs are the initial cost, training, licensing, maintenance, configuration, and upgrades. These factors can often result in a product that is more expensive than it’s worth. At REDCOM, we believe in minimizing the cost of ownership. Check out this article on how we work to give you the most out of our products.   https://lnkd.in/ex2CEdVY
