Teamwork in action! 🥪 Rivermont NOVA High School students are mastering essential vocational skills through hands-on food preparation tasks! Rivermont NOVA’s high school students, in this case Ben and Madison, gain valuable vocational skills that mimic a job skill in food preparation daily. They follow strict sanitation rules, manage lunch counts, and ensure dietary needs are met. Lunches are received in large food totes, separated by classroom, and distributed with the correct portions of protein, vegetables, and fruit. Visual task boards help students complete these steps. After announcing that lunches are ready, students clean and disinfect the kitchen, prepare delivery bags for the next day, and ensure a tidy workspace 🍽️ #rivermontschools #specialeducation #vocationalskills
