In 2018, Nadia started volunteering at SJHS Mishawaka Medical Center when she was in high school. After graduating, she began attending IU Bloomington with the goal of becoming a physician. In the past year, she has been focusing on improving her henna art skills and found that it is a therapeutic and healing way to connect with people. Her artwork was well received when she visited patients for the first time. Thank you, Nadia! If you would like more information about becoming a volunteer at SJHS, please visit https://bit.ly/3YaVlA6.

Forty youths participated in education sessions about nutrition, tobacco prevention, positivity, stress management, and physical activity. Healthy snacks were provided and each student received a basketball, jump rope, t-shirt, books, and other items in a sports drawstring bag.
