The beautiful final product of the renovation to the JW Marriott Essex House New York is a result of the team’s careful planning and collaboration. From constant communication to ensure a great guest experience as the hotel remained fully occupied to strategic and early procurement to meet the fast-track schedule, we are #ShawmutProud of our team’s work on the lobby, concierge area, Bourbon Steak restaurant, and executive lounge.

#ShawmutProud to once again be ranked a top 25 construction firm in New York City by Crain's New York Business. For more than two decades, we’ve had the privilege of building projects that have shaped the fabric of New York City, from state-of-the-art institutions to welcoming community spaces to some of the city’s most iconic and well-known hospitality establishments.

We’re excited to share that the eight-year restoration of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, has earned a 2024 Preservation Award from the Boston Preservation Alliance. This Back Bay landmark, celebrated for its Romanesque Revival style and Neoclassical extension, underwent a multi-phased #ShawmutBuilt restoration—from watertight upgrades and electrical overhauls to meticulous repairs on semi-domes, roofs, facades, and the cupola. The team used innovative terra cotta rainscreens and advanced digital modeling to seamlessly blend new elements with historic features—all while keeping the church open for worship. This award follows the project’s recent win of the 2024 Paul & Niki Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts. We’re excited to play a key role in UCLA's historic move to the nation's oldest NCAA Division I conference, the Big Ten. We're currently executing critical infrastructure upgrades at four of the university’s major athletic facilities—Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom, Jackie Robinson Stadium, Wallis Annenberg Stadium, and Easton Stadium. These #ShawmutBuilt enhancements, including electrical power, broadcast AV cabling, and equipment improvements, will enable UCLA Athletics to host and broadcast Big Ten games this season. #B1GWelcome  #GOBRU1NS

Congratulations to ASD | SKY and our project team for Nami winning a citation for Excellence in Interiors in the AIA Florida Design Awards and two IIDA Georgia Chapter Best of the Best Awards—Best of Dine and Overall Best of the Best. The #ShawmutBuilt Nami, the Japanese word for “wave,” creates a captivating experience for guests in the Lake Nona Wave Hotel, including the custom wood ceiling with fins that mimic waves.
