Register for the first part of this four session learning series from Mass Mentoring Partnership (September 19 at 10 a.m. Eastern). Many youth in our communities have experienced trauma, the effects of which can be long-lasting and significant and can create barriers to forming relationships with supportive adults. Grateful for a perfect day on the water last week with our Silver Lining Mentoring family! 🌊 Huge thanks to our wonderful donors, Richard and Elaine Spenceley, for hosting us on their boat. We were joined by staff, mentees Deavonie and Armani, and Deavonie's mentor of 5 years, Keith, for a memorable day exploring the North Shore coast. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of connection and community.

We have two team members who have recently joined SLM! Please welcome Stephanie Cahalan, Development Operations Coordinator and Lauren Brumfield, LCSW, Program Coordinator. Stephanie began her career in archives and museums before making a switch to development in healthcare. She was drawn to SLM immediately after learning about the team’s important and impactful mission. She’s excited to now bring her passion for fundraising to support youth in foster care. Lauren has been serving for the past few years as an interpersonal violence counselor, advocate, and educator, and is excited to bring this experience to her new role at SLM. Her favorite part of working in the violence prevention sector was teaching youth and young adults what healthy relationships can look like, and ensuring that young people understand the respect that they deserve. Thank you for your leadership, Stephanie and Lauren!
