SSVASHRM is a recognized chapter of the national organization, Society for Human Resource Management. SSVASHRM has been a sanctioned chapter since 1998. Meetings are conducted in Danville which is located in the south-central area of Virginia on the North Carolina border. SSVASHRM is pleased to participate in a collaborative effort with other organizations and agencies to promote the Human Resource Profession in Danville, Chatham, South Boston, Martinsville, Gretna, Altavista and other Southside towns.

Southside Virginia SHRM members - please remember we are not meeting in October or November but have a great Holiday luncheon planned in December. Please take advantage of the law seminars being offered in our area this month. I will be attending the SHRM State Council meeting and training October 12-14 in Richmond and look forward to sharing that information. The SHRM Business meeting is in DC this year and will be held in November. Lots of exciting things going on over the next few months.
