Our election officials are working tirelessly to ensure that every vote is counted, and every voice is heard. In a recent interview with The Washington Post’s Anna Liss-Roy, secretaries of state from Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona shared that while threats to our elections have never been more advanced, their defenses are stronger than ever. As November approaches, these leaders are taking proactive steps to protect our democracy including combatting disinformation, monitoring threats of violence, recruiting and protecting election workers, and strengthening resources against efforts like blocking election certification, voter intimidation, and bad-faith lawsuits. https://lnkd.in/ei7Ubiy9

“Election officials already have processes in place to make sure their voter roll lists are accurate,” Elizabeth Ulmer, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Communications at the States United Democracy Center, told Democracy Docket. “These anti-democracy groups are abusing the system and wasting time and resources of local officials — all based on unreliable data and election lies.
