Houston, Texas! What an incredible week we had building another Extreme Makeover Home for a deserving family. We can’t say thank you enough to all of our vendors, trade partners, volunteers and of course everyone at The Home Edit. We dealt with brutal heat all week, but the dedication and hard work put into this home shows how much we can accomplish when our teams work together. Reveal day was extra special this time as we had help moving that bus from Houston Texans Legends, their cheerleaders and mascot Toro, as well as the marching band and cheerleading teams from Cypress Park High School. Our Yardly brand, known for its new and diverse style of rental housing, recently reached a noteworthy milestone. Yardly now has over 30 owned communities comprising 7,000+ homesites across Texas, Arizona, Florida and North Carolina. We are also proud to share that we’ve been recognized by Zonda as the No. 1 national developer of planned Build-to-Rent units. Congratulations to this growing team for their work bringing alternative rental options to consumers around the country with a tagline of “Neighborhoods Reimagined." #ThisisTMLiving

In our Austin Division, we recently teamed up with the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin to build and sell a home that will benefit the at-risk and unhoused people of Austin via the nonprofit HomeAid Austin. All materials, supplies, labor, financial support, and construction management were donated by Taylor Morrison and other members of the HBA. We’re honored to have played a role in this project, and grateful to our team members who made it possible. #ThisisTMLiving 🏡

This week, over 2,000 team members across our divisions engaged in Career Week, a dedicated time for personal and professional growth. Leaders and team members gathered to discuss moments from their careers and highlight the different opportunities within Taylor Morrison. Discussions were centered around being prepared, willing to learn, curious and opportunistic as we move through life. Together, we laughed (and cringed a little) as we reflected on the highs and lows of our careers. School’s nearly back in session, and we’re saying goodbye to an incredible group of summer interns. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming nearly 50 interns across 18 divisions at Taylor Morrison. Over the last 10 weeks, these students gained real-world experience and made a lasting impact through their capstone projects. We’ve got our sights set on sending Taylor Morrison Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer to present at the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in 2025—and we could use your help getting her there!   Based in Austin, Texas, SXSW features festivals and conference sessions that explore the convergence of tech, film, music, education and culture. Over the years, women have been able to make a shift into the business of “homemaking” through leadership roles in construction, homebuilding and décor companies. But there is still work to be done to make building homes an equitable space. In our proposed presentation, “The New Homemakers: Redefining How Women Make a House A Home,” Sheryl will provide a short history of how women moved beyond the traditional role of a homemaker into the ones building and curating homes, educate on the gender disparity in the home building industry and share what Taylor Morrison is doing to combat this, and offer advice for leaders in the home space and beyond on how to build a more equitable industry.
