  • Cheers to the newest group of Women’s Leadership Institute grads! For the last few months, 15 members from the Larry H. Miller Company, Larry H. Miller Senior Health, Larry H. Miller Real Estate and Miller Sports + Entertainment participated in the Career Development Series and the Rising Leader Series from WLI, an organization dedicated to uplifting women in the workplace. Each month, participants attended in-person classes to network with other professional women from industries such as tech, healthcare, marketing, sales, accounting, and more to hear about their careers and experiences. Participants also learned from business professionals, board members, and local decision-makers who taught lessons on personality types, leadership and management skills and how women can find different paths to success in professional fields. Sam Cook, Senior Membership Service Manager at the Salt Lake Bees, participated in the Rising Leader Series and said she was immensely grateful for her chance to participate in the WLI Rising Leader Series. “Not only was the environment incredibly impactful and supportive, but the knowledge I gained was truly invaluable,” Sam said. “I look forward to implementing my new leadership skills and knowledge to directly support Miller Sports + Entertainment.” The Larry H. Miller Company is proud to partner with WLI and participate in the ElevateHER Challenge. We thank them for their dedication to Utah's unique and powerful workforce.

On Wednesday, we wrapped up our quarterly board meetings and annual strategic session at The Larry H. Miller Company. This year, we took the board on-site to experience a few of our various businesses and projects firsthand. Highlights included: - Touring the construction site of the new Salt Lake Bees ballpark and Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres in Downtown Daybreak. - Exploring Larry H. Miller Real Estate's new Daybreak model village, featuring the Cove House on the Water Course. - Walking through an award-winning Destination Homes model. - Concluding the day at Swig, where we heard from the team, enjoyed drinks and treats, and felt the energy of this rapidly expanding brand. - Engaging in a discussion with the Co-Chief Investment Officer of the world's largest hedge fund on the state of the US economy. It was an enriching day filled with productive meetings. Grateful for our dedicated board, the hardworking LHM employees, and the opportunity to contribute to building companies at the intersection of people and place.

  • Every year, the Larry H. Miller Company welcomes a new cohort of interns for a summer of hard work, networking, hands-on experience, and, hopefully, a bit of fun. At their graduation ceremony, each intern presented their learnings, accomplishments and experiences from the last four months to their mentors and company leadership. We ended the ceremony with words from various members of our executive team, who shared advice as our interns prepare to enter the workforce, complete their collegiate studies, and begin their next adventure. “The Larry H. Miller Company is excited you have shared your talents with us. As you build your resumes and gain new skills, we hope that you’ll reflect on your experiences here. As interns and young professionals, you have an opportunity to determine what matters most in terms of workplace culture, an organization’s mission and values, and the coworkers who may lift and motivate you. Our mission is to enrich lives, and we encourage you to continue to do so along your journey.” - Steve Starks, CEO We thank them for their hard work this summer, and we wish them luck with their future endeavors. They leave today as teammates we’re excited to partner with as we work to make the places Where Life Takes Place.

  • The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $1 million to the Ogden-Weber Technical College (OTECH) Foundation to support the construction of its new Pathway Building.  OTECH President James Taggart said, “The Miller Family Foundation is one of the most influential forces for good in Utah, and we are so grateful for their partnership with Ogden-Weber Tech. This investment will help generations of OTECH students access educational opportunities and build high-wage, high-demand careers in our community.” We are excited to be a part of this project and look forward to the incredible outcomes it will foster. The Pathway Building will create a space where education and opportunity meet to create an environment where students can thrive. “Ogden-Weber Technical College is helping solve significant needs for our economy by providing experiential education and ensuring students are ready to enter the job market,” said Steve Starks, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Company. “We value innovation and know this center will contribute positively to communities across the state and enrich lives.” These renderings are conceptual.
