We couldn't have said it better!
In the September issue of Scottsdale magazine, my esteemed colleague and dear friend, Cheryl Ruggiero, is deservedly recognized for her extraordinary contributions. It comes as no surprise that her tireless efforts are being acknowledged. For an impressive 24 years, Cheryl has skillfully spearheaded the giving process at Thunderbirds Charities Charities. Through her exceptional leadership, she has played a pivotal role in identifying worthy organizations and effectively delivering crucial resources to them. As a result of her dedication and hard work, Valley charities have received nearly $200 million in vital funding. Her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the community is truly commendable. Grant funding secured will primarily support Maggie's Place's volunteers and staff engaging directly with mothers in our care. AmeriCorps volunteers work across our residential facilities to provide 24/7, hands-on support to mothers and their babies as they work through our program. Maggie’s Place has over 100 volunteers consistently helping the organization with administrative tasks, in the residential facilities, at events and during programs and services at our Family Success Center. Volunteer support will ensure that both mothers in our care and women who have successfully completed our program will have access to a variety of services, supplies and programs necessary to empower mothers to lead a life of self-sufficiency and independence.
