Last week, team TNECD attended the 2024 Republic of Korea-Southeast U.S. Economic Partnership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The goal of this event is to strengthen economic cooperation between Korea and the southeastern states and foster new opportunities for growth. Since 2019, South Korean companies have invested more than $4.5 billion and created approximately 3,500 jobs in the Volunteer State. 🎉

Gov. Bill Lee and TNECD are committed to working with leaders across the state to tackle the challenges facing our distressed and at-risk counties. This week, Nashville hosted the 2024 Governor's Rural Opportunity Summit, an event for these leaders to come together, share ideas and craft innovative solutions to the unique problems they face. TNECD continues its celebration of 100-year-old companies across the Volunteer State. Our Southwest Tennessee Regional Director, Tracey Exum, recently presented a certificate to The Courier in Savannah. Established in 1884, The Courier is the only weekly paper in Hardin County and has a circulation of 4,000 people. Congratulations to The Courier on keeping residents informed and connected for 140 years. 🎉

Nashville Wire Products is establishing a new manufacturing site in McEwen, Tennessee. The facility is the company’s sixth base in the Volunteer State and will add 102 new jobs, increasing the company’s total workforce in Tennessee by 19%. In total, Nashville Wire Products plans to invest more than $20 million through the project. Read more:
