As the resale market continues to evolve, brands like COYUCHI are keeping resale as an important part of their strategy to meet consumer demand. Kasi Martin's piece for Sourcing Journal explores the complex world of reverse logistics that powers resale, highlighting our partners at Tersus and Bleckmann. At Trove, we're proud to be part of the transformation of the industry. Our recent acquisition of Recurate strengthens our market leadership by integrating Shopify and peer-to-peer solutions into our enterprise platform. We're doubling down on our commitment to making branded resale more accessible and supporting the launch and scaling of resale programs for all brands. #TroveRecommerce #SustainableRetail #ResaleInnovation #SourcingJournal #ReverseLogistics #CircularEconomy

The world of resale continues to evolve, but it remains an important part of COYUCHI's strategy since we launched 2nd Home Renewed in 2017. Thanks, Kasi Martin, for the chance to share some of what we're seeing through our partnership with Bleckmann and Recurate/Trove in this great Sourcing Journal article. "The home and textile brand, which expanded its partnership with Bleckmann and Recurate earlier this year, is focused on getting the front end of its resale right. What’s interesting, Chung elaborated, is that this goes the other way too. Customers may be attracted to COYUCHI 2nd Home Renewed because of the lower price point or risk and then convert to the mainline later if they like the product. About 40 percent of the brand’s renewed orders today are from mixed carts." #resale #recommerce #sustainability #circularity #ecommerce #hometextiles

2023 was the summer of Barbie pink. 2024, however, is being titled by Charli XCX’s "brat” album cover featuring a bold lime green, otherwise known as “brat summer”. For those who haven’t seen the dance trends or political campaign memes, the brat aesthetic is defined by those embracing imperfections in a messy, carefree tone. As a cultural movement, fashion choices will naturally be at the forefront. But what does fashion exactly look like for someone having a brat summer? While this trend isn’t fully leaning into the lime green color itself, brat summer caters to an individual’s personal take on a cool look, leaning on wardrobe basics and casual style. Most seasonal micro trends can lead to a rise in consumer purchases from fast fashion brands, but here’s why Trove is a fan of the internet’s latest fixation:  💚 Building out wardrobe basics: Avoids overconsumption and can lead to an item’s extended wear beyond the trend itself  💚 Investing in your personal style: Translates to investing in quality items or turning to secondhand stores for unique pieces Aside from the listed environmental benefits of this trend, we love that having brat summer means unapologetically being you. For customers interested in participating, check out Trove’s brand partners, such as On and lululemon, where shoppers can easily search a variety of green product options with the help of Trove’s merchandising widgets. Brands can display collections of desired colorways based on trends or seasonality, catering to ever changing customer preferences and fashion trends. Shopping resale isn’t just a passing moment. It’s a lifestyle that will ultimately invest in your wardrobe and the Earth, one that we hope you’ll join. #SustainableRetail #CircularFashion

This year’s travel was influenced heavily by consumers looking to attend festivals or concert experiences around the world. From Taylor Swift’s global Eras tour to Lollapalooza this past weekend in Chicago, these music events are long-anticipated by consumers, who often put together themed looks. Dressing up for events is part of the attending experience, but did you know there’s an environmental drawback to these statement looks? According to a report by The Fashion Law, about 7.5 million outfits worn are considered single-use, speaking to the amount of one-time purchases at fast fashion businesses. So how can music fans approach dressing up for these culturally iconic events while being mindful of the environment? To look great at any event, Trove recommends:  🎙 Upcycling your existing wardrobe - there’s nothing wrong with repeating an outfit or getting creative with what’s already in your closet!  🎙 Shopping secondhand - which can lead to unique finds you won’t see in a typical department store.  🎙Investing in quality pieces - ensuring they’ll have a wear beyond just the concert experience itself. Experimenting with festival fashion can make for a fun time, and with these steps in mind, it’s possible to participate without furthering fashion’s impact on carbon emissions. #BrandedResale #CircularEconomy #CircularFashion

Over the past two decades, consumer purchases of goods and services have decreased by 6%. This decline is attributed to more intentional shopping habits and rising living costs. Retailers are now working with less time and budget than ever. For those looking to invest in creating circular consumption patterns to reduce waste in the fashion industry, it’s important to note that this doesn’t have to mean losing customers or revenue. On September 5th, Trove CEO Terry Boyle will be at FUTR Group 's FUTR event in New York City to discuss technology’s role in how brands can create sustainable practices that work on a commercial level with the help of today’s technology. Participating in a panel “Recommerce, resale, rental and repair: Commercializing circular retail models” with Kidsy Inc Co-Founder & CEO Shraysi Tandon, eBay’s Category Manager – Preloved Apparel Kate Danielsen, and Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing for NYU Stern School of Business Thomaï Serdari, Terry will dive into which circular business model works best for individual brands, and how branded resale solutions can be set up in as little as 4 weeks. Want to connect with our team while you’re on the ground at FUTR? Reach out to Trove at [email protected]. #FUTR #TroveRecommerce #SustainableRetail
