Last week, our Loup interns joined the rest of the Union Pacific Railroad interns and took a trip to North Platte to see the world's largest railyard, Union Pacific's Bailey Yard, as well as the Golden Spike Tower! Fun facts about the Bailey Yard: 🚂 The Bailey Yard is titled as the largest railroad classification yard in the world, covering a total of 2,850 acres. 🚂 It was named in honor of former Union Pacific President, Edd H. Bailey. 🚂 With a remarkable capacity, the Bailey Yard handles over 14,000 rail cars and an average of 139 trains daily. 🚂 Can you believe it's large enough to hold 2,155 American football fields?   Thank you to Rhonda Harvey for leading this trip and making it an educational and exciting time for our interns! #LoupLife #LoupLogistics #Intern #Transportation
