Allegheny County Economic Development is pleased to announce that the application period for the Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund (GEDTF) will be open from August 19th to August 30th. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on August 30.
Qualified candidates, including municipalities, authorities, councils of governments, and both non-profit and for-profit businesses, are encouraged to apply for funding to facilitate economic development projects within Allegheny County. Detailed GEDTF Program Guidelines can be found on our website:
All proposed projects must adhere to Pennsylvania prevailing wage requirements, specific insurance requirements, and certain procurement guidelines. Applicants will be notified of their award status and the total grant amount awarded.
The list of awarded projects will be posted on the Commonwealth Finance Authority (CFA) website: (https://lnkd.in/ega8gXuT).
Contracting with awarded applicants will commence in December following the CFA Board meeting for final approval.
The GEDTF is funded by the daily 5% gross terminal revenue from licensed gaming entities, primarily casinos. These funds are administered by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County and are available to local entities to support economic development initiatives that meet the specified criteria.
