Vast’s Vibe Test Lab is crucial for testing Haven Demo and Haven-1 components for dynamic loads experienced during launch to low Earth orbit. With our in-house capabilities, we benefit from rapid response to design changes, accelerated timelines by avoiding outsourcing delays, and seamless integration with engineering and design teams. Our vertically-integrated engineering approach is hardware rich and enhances product quality with a tight design/test feedback loop that will support our development and reliability as we head into long-term production of our commercial space habitats.

Announcing Haven-1 Lab and our Inaugural Partners Redwire Space and Yuri Today, we unveiled our plans for the Haven-1 Lab, launching aboard Haven-1 in the second half of 2025. The Haven-1 Lab is set to become the world's first microgravity research, development, and manufacturing platform on a commercial space station. We are also honored to announce that Redwire and Yuri have signed on as our inaugural payload partners, entrusting Vast with their proven technology for this historic mission. Covering a variety of sectors, our partners represent some of the foremost experts in the development of microgravity payloads. Vast’s Haven-1 lab provides a new platform in space for conducting research and expanding cross-sector advancements with the inherent advantages of a crewed environment. We are proud to provide the foundation for that work and honored that our partners have entrusted us with their proven technology. Redwire’s Advanced Space Experiment Processor 4 (ADSEP4)  is a fully automated, multi-use processing facility used to conduct a variety of life and physical science research and small-batch biotechnology production in microgravity, with a capacity of up to four sample processing cassettes for pharmaceutical research and manufacturing. Yuri’s ScienceTaxi can accommodate up to 38 experiment units, known as ScienceShells, and will provide scientists with a powerful tool for studying the effects of microgravity on various biological systems, enabling a wide range of experiments to be conducted in the Haven-1 Lab. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for this groundbreaking journey! https://lnkd.in/gaqrdmvC
