Wish kids: Start your engines! 5-year-old Ramona loves playing racing video games every night and she wished to have a real-life toy car race with all her friends at Denver Botanic Gardens - Chatfield Farms! Everyone dressed up in silly costumes and hit the pedal to the metal for an unforgettable race. Ramona sped around the track for lap after lap alongside her family and friends for hours. Her wish was a perfect celebration of everything and everyone she loves! Frontier Mechanical Inc. hit another hole-in-one with their annual golf tournament, raising $45,000 to help make 6 wishes come true for Colorado kids with critical illnesses! Wish kid Christian loves mascots! For his wish, we hosted a mascot talent show with all the Colorado sports teams' mascots! From a ring toss with Dinger to a magic show from Cam the Ram, it was quite the competition! Ultimately, Slapshot from the Colorado Eagles won with his Bob Ross-inspired painting of him and Christian! Another aspect of Christian's wish was ringing the bell to signify the end of his cancer journey. Local police and SWAT teams presented an honorary bell to Christian to celebrate his bravery amidst so much hardship. Christian proudly rang the bell in front of his family, medical team and all his mascot friends! An epic dance party ensued to wrap up the life-changing day. Christian's heartfelt wish brought together his community to celebrate his strength and create joy! Thank you to everyone who helped make Christian's wish come true, from the high school mascots and pom teams to local police and SWAT officers to all the incredible team mascots! We recently received a donation with an amazing story tied to it! This donor's daughter had a wish granted in the 90's to visit Walt Disney World Resort. He would always wear two different shoes to make her smile - and still does to this day in memory of her. Whenever anyone comments on his shoes, he donates a dollar to Make-A-Wish Colorado! To celebrate him and his daughter's legacy, the Make-A-Wish staff all swapped shoes for a day and took this photo! #wishesmatter

We attended national corporate sponsor Red Robin's annual conference here in Denver to celebrate their partnership with Make-A-Wish and the incredible milestone of donating $1 million to Make-A-Wish nationally through their kids' meal campaign! Wish kid Andrew, whose wish to go to Walt Disney World Resort was granted earlier last year, LOVES Red Robin and their mascot, Red. He was delighted to share his wish story with the crowd. Wish kid Lyla, whose wish to go to Hawaii will be granted later this year, also attended ahead with her family. The Red Robin team surprised them with new luggage fully stocked with Hawaiian-themed goodies!
