ALL SMILES FOR ROWAN! 😄 Remember 'Miracle Baby' Rowan who underwent the first of three heart surgeries back in January? Well, he's recovering from his second surgery and is finally home! Mom Chelsea shared: "Rowan is no longer considered critical and he will not have another surgery until he is 3-5 years old. I feel like I can breathe for the first time since that 20-week anatomy ultrasound. We are so grateful to our Wolfson Children's Hospital CVICU family, for helping Rowan recover and come home. We love you all and can't thank you enough for saving his life." Sara is a professional practice consultant on our research team for Baptist Health Jacksonville & Wolfson Children's Hospital. Sara was instrumental in the implementation of two groundbreaking initiatives: a life-saving Narcan distribution program and a comprehensive human trafficking screening protocol. She has been a champion for nursing staff, optimizing the Elsevier Care Planning Tool to enhance patient care. Beyond her professional commitments, Sara serves on the board of a charity which provides education and health care in the Dominican Republic. She travels there annually, bringing her expertise and compassion to underserved communities. This year alone, she helped care for 500 patients in just a few short days, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to global health. Sara is knowledgeable and talented, but her true strength lies in her ability to drive significant system changes and empower others to learn and grow. Her contributions have positively impacted countless patients and team members, solidifying her reputation as an exceptional nurse and leader.
