As sports technologists, we LOVE to see how biomechanics can now be improved to cut literal milliseconds off race times at major events like the Olympics. Psyched to learn of SwimBetter and eo, Aussies are leading the way on this one! https://lnkd.in/eHQX8vAM

Last week, WiST CEO+Founder Marilou McFarlane attended SEICon, joining a panel discussion on the "Secrets to Innovation." The panel was moderated by Dr. Nancy Lough, with Bronwen Gregg and Alysse Soll. It's no secret: inclusivity drives innovation and leaders should strive to build a culture in which retention rates can soar, especially with the best talent. 💪🏼

Hear more about SEICon from our Founder+CEO Marilou McFarlane! Huge shout out to all the amazing people who helped bring this event to life.
SEICon's inaugural event was a hit! Despite the heat outside, we kept cool inside and really enjoyed the time, learning from each other, discovering new ways to work together, and facing the changes afoot in our industry with growth mindsets and a healthy recognition for some of the powerful forces now impacting our business dramatically (i.e. AI/GenAI, NIL, NCAA). Highlights for me included the Keynote with the iconic Nancy Lieberman speaking along with Jasmine Jordan of Nike and Deandra Duggans of the Las Vegas Aces on how rapidly, and WHY, the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) has recently become such a force and such an incredible investment opportunity. Love their take on what's happening at the NCAA level with NIL. Speaking of NIL technologies and more support for college athletes, I enjoyed participating as a judge in the Innovation Hub and learning more about WEVOLV ®️ with Jori 🤜🏼🤛🏾 Davis and Julie Wojta, Out2Win Sports' team led by Jack Adler, and Cache AI with Kobi Wu and team. Congrats to the team at Eluvio for winning Best in Show! Other startups I'm super excited about include Healium, Lockerverse, Drive Hockey Analytics, LunchTable, ORRECO, Uplift Labs, RIZZARR, GUDEA, and X2L Bio - Las Vegas. Needed more time to learn all I wanted to learn about each business in the Innovation Hub! Our panel discussion on the "Secrets to Innovation", magnificently moderated by Dr. Nancy Lough, with Bronwen Gregg, Alysse Soll and me was very well-received with numerous business leaders coming up to us afterwards to applaud our message and tell us they learned some things. It's no secret: inclusivity drives innovation and there are steps to build a culture in which your retention rates can soar, especially with your best talent. 💪🏼 Also, inside the Innovation Hub, the brilliant Nancy Hensley and Harish Sarma educated us all on the value of Gen AI not only in sports but also all the ways it can improve our lives today, professionally and personally. Our panels overlapped so I was bummed to miss Sandy Khaund's fireside chat on Web3 in Sports. They were all recorded so we can share them on our WiST channels, as soon as SEICon publishes. And while I’m at it, times HAVE changed, for the better in many ways. The days where I was one of a few women, with only a few POC's, at a conference like this are behind us, the WiST mission is going strong. Thank you Queenie Donaldson - "the Olivia Pope" of sports and entertainment, for this brilliant wisdom shared in your own panel discussion: "Sometimes you have to be the leader to create the world you want to see." 🧡 Thanks to Jay Vickers, Shawn Garrity, Rodney Paul, Nik Kumar, Nick Twomey, Alysse Soll and the whole underdog venture team for a fabulous first conference and for inviting me to participate. To my fellow judges in the Innovation Hub - awesome to be with you all! Wrap parties each night fun too! 🎉 Women in Sports Tech, Inc. #sportsbiz #sportstech #sports

Today is #NationalInternDay and we would like to thank our interns for their hard work and commitment so far this summer! We work to ensure our workplaces are welcoming to a wide range of people, one where SRAM team members have a powerful sense of belonging and that our culture and practices support team members as they contribute their knowledge, experiences, and skills to help expand the potential of cycling.
