Xcimer Energy believes that abundant energy creates a world where anything is possible. Xcimer has assembled a team of experts from U.S. national laboratories, academic institutions, and private industry to work together toward this mission. Abundant and inexpensive fusion power will transform how the world thinks about energy. The scientific, engineering, and manufacturing Xcimer’s plant design enables can spark a broad expansion of the U.S. industrial and workforce base, especially in high-value technologies like electrical power, optics, and precision manufacturing, and present a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure the benefits of this expansion flow equitably and inclusively to the entire nation.

Last week DOE announced Xcimer Energy Corporation as one of their INFUSE awards recipients bolstering public-private partnerships for fusion. Xcimer's continued growth into delivering key laser, chamber and target technologies is strongly supported by our pilot plant efforts to make fusion energy a reality. As PI in this project, its a real honor to work with long time partners Brenda L. Garcia-Diaz Luke Olson George Larsen and team at Savannah River National Laboratory to scale up development of fusion blanket and tritium technologies to the next step!

What a week it was for Xcimer! On the heels of our $100 million Series A raise, we have more exciting news to share - last week we signed our award agreement with the Department of Energy (DOE) in the Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program. We’re one of just eight companies selected by DOE to receive funding for meeting milestones in the first 18 months of a five-year program for private-sector-led teams to develop comprehensive designs for a fusion pilot plant. Our CEO, Conner Galloway and VP of Chamber and Plant Design, Susana Reyes were on-site at the White House to mark this momentous event. We’re now on the cusp of harnessing the potential of fusion energy to bring this power source to the world. To get there, forging public-private partnerships will be instrumental. Xcimer Energy is excited to be part of the Inertial Fusion Energy Hubs recently announced by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE announced today $42 million for a program that will establish multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary hubs to advance IFE forward.
