Chevron Studio is accepting applications for Cohort 5 starting August 1, 2024. Chevron Studio provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to commercialize technologies developed at universities and national labs. This unique program, launched from a partnership between Chevron and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, supports scale-up and commercialization of technologies (including opportunities to field trial) that have the potential to enable a lower-carbon future. New to the portfolio: Chevron Technology Ventures is investing in Claroty, a New York and Tel Aviv-based startup that has developed a differentiated CPS cybersecurity platform with a comprehensive approach to securing cyber-physical systems and critical infrastructure.  This is the latest investment from our Core Fund, which focuses on high-growth startups and breakthrough technologies that have the potential to improve Chevron's core businesses, as well as create new opportunities for growth. Our team has been working hard to create a lower-carbon fuel for passenger cars. Renewable gasoline blend is made from over 50% renewable sources. It’s a promising new product and I’m happy to share we just reached a major milestone in getting it closer to consumers. We teamed up with Toyota to pump this renewable gasoline blend into new vehicles arriving at the Portland port. That means these cars are driving on lower carbon intensity gasoline as they hit the dealerships. See for yourself in this video. Here are three great things about Chevron's renewable gasoline blend: 1. It’s lower carbon. The lower lifecycle carbon emissions from cars fueled with our renewable gasoline blend could be competitive with carbon emissions from EVs on a lifecycle basis. 2. It's easy to use. Our renewable gasoline blend works as a drop-in fuel in any gasoline-powered car and is compatible with existing gas station infrastructure. 3. It performs. The fuel has been road-tested over thousands of miles under real-life road conditions and has the same performance as traditional gasoline. There's no one-size-fits-all solution for the world's energy needs. That's why we're developing different lower carbon intensity transportation fuels for different situations. Our renewable gasoline blend will be a great option, when available to customers, to reduce the carbon intensity of gasoline-powered cars on the road today. Chevron Toyota North America

The launch of Chevron Technology Ventures in 1999 marked a major commitment to leverage external innovation to deliver the affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner energy the world needs. Now, as we begin our 26th year, CTV is launching its next venture capital fund – the $500 million Future Energy Fund III. As I shared Tuesday at the BloombergNEF Summit in New York, FEF III will bring together the scaling capabilities of Chevron with transformational innovations from leading early-stage companies driving the future of energy. Building on the successes of its two predecessors, first launched in 2018, this new fund is CTV’s largest to date and will focus on industrial decarbonization, mobility, energy decentralization and the growing circular economy. This series of funds complements CTV’s long-standing Core Energy venture funds, which target advancements in Chevron’s core energy businesses. It’s an exciting time for CTV, where we continue to advance early-stage innovation in support of a lower carbon future.

We're excited to announce the launch of Chevron Technology Ventures' $500 million Future Energy Fund III, the latest focused on technology-based solutions that have the potential to enable affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner energy for all. The fund builds on the success of CTV's first Future Energy Fund I, which launched in 2018, and Future Energy Fund II, which followed in 2021 for a total $400 million commitment. To date, CTV’s Future Energy Funds have invested in more than 30 companies with more than 250 other co-investors in support of lower carbon innovations. Future Energy Fund III will continue to focus on innovations in the areas of industrial decarbonization, emerging mobility, energy decentralization and the growing circular carbon economy. In addition, the new fund aims to expand investment in the areas of novel low carbon fuels, advanced materials and transforming carbon to higher-value products. Future Energy Fund III is the 10th venture fund launched since CTV was established in 1999. CTV also has a set of Core Funds which continue to invest in technologies focused on operational enhancements, digitalization and lower-carbon operations of energy businesses worldwide. #technology #energy #innovation #lowercarbon
