Today the SBA Columbus District Office team, led by District Director Everett M. Woodel, Jr., MBA, traveled to the #Cincinnati region for the Hamilton County, Ohio #SmallBusiness Day, where we were proud to present on U.S. Small Business Administration programs and services and make one-on-one connections with attendees. Over 400 small business owners, plus area #entrepreneurial #resources, were present at the jam-packed event, which introduced small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to all the resources the Hamilton County Office of Small Business provides, plus its many partners in the Cincinnati region, including ECDI - Economic and Community Development Institute, the The African American Chamber of Commerce: Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, and Alloy Development Co. which organized this terrific event. The expo is the largest veteran event in the State of Ohio that celebrates our veteran businesses and business owners! In celebration of Black Business Month, the SBA Columbus District Office signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SAM) with MORTAR - Cincinnati's entrepreneurship hub (wearemortar.com) Cincinnati. Since 2014, MORTAR is a program that aims to create diverse communities by enabling historically marginalized entrepreneurs start and run successful businesses. #blackbusinessmonth (CDO) also met with local black owned businesses in Cincinnati. Jasmine Davis, owner of Sweet Jazz Treats Bakery, Derrick Braziel, owner of Pata Roja Taqueria, and Eric Ruffin, Founder and General Manager of Abel Building Systems to discuss SBA programs and resources available to help their businesses grow.
