Check out how one of our factories came to be – from digital planning to construction to a fully-fetched factory. 🏭 This Siemens #factory was fully planned and simulated digitally, allowing for optimization in the digital world before actual construction began. By combining factory data, production line data, performance data, and even building information, a complete #DigitalTwin of the new factory was created. This process guaranteed the highest flexibility and efficiency in production and the achieved remarkable results in #sustainability: ⚡ Electricity savings of 5,000,000 kWh per year: comparable to the energy needed to charge about 300 million smartphones. 💧 Water savings of 6,000 m³ per year: equals the amount of water in over 9 Olympic-sized swimming pools. 🌍 CO2 reduction of 3,000 tons: equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of about 650 cars. Pretty cool what #digitalization can achieve, right? 😍
