Service to community is part of our mission

We provide marketing solutions to organizations locally, regionally and nationally and serve hundreds of nonprofits every year through strategic community partnerships.

We serve as Oregon’s #1 source of news, publishing award-winning content through The Oregonian/OregonLive and Here is Oregon.

Though our employee-led nonprofit Oregonian Publishing Company Public Benefits, Inc., we raise money to support the High School Journalism Institute, Season of Sharing and Education Reporting Lab.

Public Interest

Our newsroom consistently pursues information that our community has a right to know. Our organization believes accountability and transparency from our governments, companies and other powerful interests are necessary for democracy to thrive.

We align with partners who help us distribute stories and produce events that serve the public interest to inform the electorate in our communities.

Healthy Communities

For our community to thrive, it must first be healthy. We align with partners that inspire and empower a good quality of life for all through cultivating healthy public policy, developing supportive programs and inspiring community action.

Arts and Culture

Art and culture make a lasting impact on all generations of Oregonians by entertaining, inspiring, informing and unifying us. We align with partners whose works bring value to our cultural identity and help make our community a unique and special place to call home.

Diversity and Inclusion

We strive to reflect the community we serve. We aspire to cultivate meaningful intercultural relationships and opportunities to support and celebrate a diverse range of cultural groups within our community.

We align with partners that promote diversity of thought and background, and drive inclusion through leadership, authentic engagement, visibility and access.

Oregon Heritage

We value the preservation and dissemination of our cultural heritage to provide unity and belonging in our community.
We support partners who enable a better understanding of the generations of history that have made us Oregonians.

Education and Literacy

Education holds transformative power, shaping generations. We partner with forward-thinking organizations to enhance teaching and literacy among underserved communities, fostering enduring cultural and economic growth across our region.

Local Innovation

We believe in the entrepreneurs, the innovators, the risk-takers and the makers that inspire change and help our region thrive culturally and economically. By aligning with partners focused on problem-solving and empowering the next generation of thinkers and doers, we help to inspire and encourage new ways of thinking and creating.
