I believe short stories are the perfect length to create compelling new worlds and explore exciting new ideas. And I believe <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speculative_fiction">speculative fiction</a> is the perfect genre for great short stories which reveal the truth about the reality around us.<br><br>I am a two-time Nebula Award finalist who has published dozens of stories in <em>Asimov's Science Fiction, Analog: Science Fiction and Fact, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, InterGalactic Medicine Show</em>, the British SF magazine <em>Interzone</em>, and many other places. Books containing my stories include multiple "year's best" story collections along with original anthologies such as <em>Bless Your Mechanical Heart</em>.
