It may not be the best movie of all time, but it is my all-time favorite. They didn’t try to go for something extremely complex, but they didn’t need to. Great acting, great music, and outstanding visual effects. This is what movies are all about.

Hugh Jackman stars as an out-of-luck ex-boxer who bonds with his son over robot boxing matches. Both Hugh Jackman and Dakota Goyo, who plays the son, do a great job acting in this movie. In the side roles Evangeline Lilly and Anthony Mackie are also standouts. The special effects are also well done and make the idea of giant humanoid robots fighting plausible. The story of the film isn’t special or stand out, but it isn’t bad and makes the film worth a watch.

A very good movie overall. It might be one of the gems of old movies. Not only are the robots pretty realistic, but the story is very interesting. It stood well against the test of time since i had watched it in the early days.
