Too redundant and repetitive. Runs out of steam half way. Too predictable. It gives a spin on the idea of branching timelines in alternate universe traveling story telling. Not sure it's worth in this new age of multi-universe saturated story telling in Sci-Fi. Imagine a really dull and depressing version of groundhog day, and you'd get this series.

Apple TV+ continues to nail the sci-fi genre, adding Dark Matter to its very impressive list of series (Severance, Silo, Constellation, For All Mankind and Shining Girls are all personal favourites). As a non-sci-fi person, I don't get caught up in the intricacies of what is and isn't possible in terms of actual science. I just go along for the ride and hope the story keeps me interested and tweaks my imagination. Dark Matter absolutely does that - and it's also beautifully written, directed, produced and acted from start to finish. On top of that, it's incredibly thought-provoking, making you think about your own life, the decisions you've made, the way your actions affect those around you, etc. This is first-rate tv and I truly recommend that you go along for the ride. If you do, I hope you love Dark Matter as much as I did. I'd be interested to see a Season 2, but the way Season 1 ends is more than enough to satisfy me if nine episodes is all we get.

I went along for the ride and was not disappointed. I thought this was going to be a long drawn out in one door, out another scenario but it had great surprises around the corner. It finished well and as a viewer, satisfied the inbuilt morality of the narrative.
