Jamie P As a resident of Japan, I was looking forward to this show but as with all other Japanese-based shows made by Western networks, the characters are very unJapanese in their delivery and behaviour. Japanese don't act the way these actors are forced into doing - the writers should solicit the input of the actors to make these shows more engaging. The lead character's behaviour is extremely boorish, particularly for a Japanese context. These problems distract from me being able to enjoy the show. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/24 Full Review Cindy M I am enjoying Sunny so far because of Rashida Jones, not the plot, the setting, or the most annoying voice for a robot ever conceived. IF the plot doesn't continue to devolve into nonsense, red herrings, and more utterly illogical and implausible plot turns, we'll stick with it. But writers need to beware of going off the rails and losing what makes this series good-Rashida Jones lost her family, is grieving and hoping they are alive.
