Cigarettes (still).

Josh Kline: Climate Change has been a long time in the making: It was conceived in 2014 as a chapter in a cycle of installations about political and technological upheaval in the 21st century, then was created in sections starting in 2019.

Those pieces can be viewed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles as part of the New York-based artist's first West Coast museum exhibition. It also features several sculptures commissioned by the museum.

The works are aimed at exploring pending ramifications of human inaction on global warming. It tells the story via unconventional images, such as a pack of cigarettes that's on fire.
