Introduction

Through our ancient relationship with healing stones, we’ve come to

respect the complex process which simultaneously produces their unique
energetic qualities alongside their awe-inspiring outward beauty.

As a result of this time-tested deference, for both their inner and outer
splendour, we can fully trust a crystal’s healing influence, whether it’s
hardly discernible or profoundly obvious.

Crystal healers understand that precious stones aren’t just beautifully

coloured ‘shiny rocks’. We realise, despite obvious material differences,
that they come from the same source we do. As such, when we harness
their energetic reliability and strength, we know they help raise (or lower)
our vibrations to match theirs, thus assisting us in achieving whatever our
healing goal is.

So whether you’re here with me now as a highly experienced crystal

healer looking to learn new techniques or as a graduate of my
introductory course called Science of Crystal Healing – with my hand over
my heart – welcome!

12
What you’ll learn
My goal for the Advanced Crystal Healing journey you’re now embarking
upon is to expose you to a wider variety of crystals, show you more ways
to identify the correct ones to bolster healing, as well as provide more
tools to further augment the good work you’re already doing.

I’ve designed this book to be like a reference guide for you to visit
frequently. So when preparing for a session or doing research on what
stones or grid you should use – this book will be a brilliant guide for you!

Prerequisites
Before you go further, please note that I assume you already have (at
least) moderate knowledge of energy and crystal healing. Whilst I will
include some rudimentary information herein, know it’s there for ease of
future reference. As such, this means I expect that you’re already
experienced with energy healing techniques, know how to cleanse
crystals, understand terms like Chakras, and so on.

But if you’re a newbie to energy or crystal healing, I suggest you ‘pause’

now and complete my Science of Crystal Healing book or course first. It
will give you the foundational knowledge you need to better understand
the dynamics around Advanced Crystal Healing.

I thank you again for allowing me to walk through the world of Advanced
Crystal Healing with you – now, let’s get started!

Big love,

Melissa ♥

Chapter 1. Energy healing fundamentals

We all know that energy healing is a highly subjective modality and much
of what happens (or doesn’t happen) will rely on the strength of your
beliefs and what feels right to you. Or it will rely on the strength of your
client’s beliefs and what feels right to them. Or a bit of both.

As such, how you feel about your crystal and how it affects you is more
valid than any textbook explanation. Sure, having a book like this to help
point you in the right direction is incredibly valuable. Definitions and
descriptions fill the ‘gap’ for those not intuitively sure about what to use
or what to do.

But remember, crystal healing isn’t about over-analysing every single

nuance of a stone. Nor it is about trying to force an explanation into it, or
out of it.

Trust the feeling

To me, crystal healing is about selecting stones which have intrinsic
healing properties and uniting them with a purpose – so they can be
amplified and used to serve someone’s greatest and highest good.

But they can’t do it alone. They need you.

14
It’s your beautiful energy, once united with a crystal’s healing qualities,
that will ultimately lead to a desired outcome.

In short – trust yourself.

Trust the feeling you get and always follow your heart, whether doing
crystal healing or any other healing art…

There’s more than one way

Since we are each unique, just like the countless precious stones on this
earth, we cannot expect that ‘one way’ is always the right way. Our
energetic vibrations change, our situations evolve, our pathways
sometimes alter.

As such, it’s not reasonable to think that all the remedies or solutions will
present themselves upon applying a certain crystal technique,
combination, or grid. There are so many variables that we each have to
navigate through in life, that we should never ‘put all our stones in one
basket’, so to speak.

With that said, if the stones or combinations I provide don’t produce the
results you want – try other stones or combinations.

Additionally, whenever your results aren’t what you expect, remember

to take a moment to look at other components, that are within or around
you, that could be influencing the outcomes 1.

Lastly, please remember that crystal healing, whether basic or advanced,

should be harnessed for its ability to enhance, bolster, and support your
healing efforts – not to be used as a replacement for professional
counselling or medical advice.

I’d like to impart the words of one of my favourite mentors, so you can

1
Questions to ask if you’ve hit a healing roadblock:

15
recall them as you progress through these pages:

“There’s your way. There’s my way.

But there is no right way.”
– Wayne W. Dyer
With that now said, let’s recap some fundamentals together! Even if
you’re highly experienced with crystal healing, just skimming through this
section can be a good refresher or perhaps expose you to a different
method or two!

Cleansing reminder
You already know a crystal’s energy can get burdened, worn out and
negatively-impacted over time. As such, I won’t go into detail on how to
cleanse your crystals, but just wanted to remind you to do it! So
remember to cleanse your crystals if you’ve:

 Recently purchased or acquired it;

 Worn it repeatedly over a period of time, or have worn it in a
negative or toxic situation;
 Used it in a healing session (whether for yourself or someone
else);
 Worked it in conjunction with other crystals in a specific purpose
formation;
 Had it in a grid for a long period of time;
 Neglected it over a period of time because it’s become part of
your room’s décor.

Intentions and activating

Again, as an experienced energy healer, I presume you understand the
importance of intention-setting (also known as ‘programming’) and
activating your crystals. But for easy reference, I’ll just summarize the
steps I use here:

16
1. After you’ve cleansed your crystal, it’s time to set an intention
(purpose) for it;
2. Either hold the crystal in your hand or if that’s not possible, hover
your dominant healing hand (this is usually your writing hand)
over it; then,
3. Say the intention (purpose) out loud or in your mind; or visualize
the ideal end-result; or feel the emotion you’d have if the positive
outcome was already done; now,
4. Activate the intention by expressing gratitude. You can simply say
out loud or in your mind, Thank you.

Placement notes
The ideal placement is on, or very near, where the problem has
manifested. If you can safely place a crystal on the body (I refer to this as
‘on body’), ensure it’s clean (energetically and physically – from debris or
dirt), is not sharp, and isn’t in direct contact with infected areas.

For a longer term on body technique, wear the healing stone as

jewellery2, as long as it does not irritate. You can wear or use for as long

2

17
as necessary, but remember to cleanse the stone after each healing
session, or after prolonged use.

Please keep in mind though, because many ailments can have physical
symptoms (be they sensitive, sore, itchy, and so on), I highly recommend
using the healing stones off the body (off body) in those cases. Especially
for healers working on clients.

This simply means you can hold or hover the stone over the affected area.
If there is no localized area to focus on, or if it’s not safe to do on body
placement, place the stone very near the body during the session.

When to use crystal grids

Crystal grids are a great tool, with some able to be used on body, but most
are done off body. I’ll provide some relevant grids to use in the upcoming
chapters. But for now, consider using grids when:

 It’s not safe to use stones on or very near the body, such as when
someone is physically uncomfortable or when the healing
recipient isn’t a person;
 You want to increase the healing energy in an area, but aren’t
going to actively use the stones. For example, having a grid set up
in a room for the duration of a healing session, or for longer-term
use in your home;
 You’ve completed a healing session, but want the healing energy
to continue to emanate afterward;
 You want to cleanse or rejuvenate an area, either before or after
a healing session, or for general cleansing purposes such as in
Space Clearing.

My healing steps
Whilst I assume you already have your own healing steps, for further
learning, I’ll provide my own ones below. If you decide to use them, keep
in mind that you’re welcome to switch up or change the steps if you feel
the alteration will serve your greatest and highest good (or your client’s).
18
1. Before your healing session begins, and if you haven’t already,
set the stone’s intention and activate it;
a. Repeat this process for all the stones you plan to use.
b. If necessary, refer to the steps in “Intentions and
activating reminder” mentioned earlier.
2. Get in a relaxed and comfortable position, then take a few
steady, deep breaths (or get your client to do so). Do this for 3 –
5 minutes;
3. If you’re using more than one stone, pick up the first stone you
plan to use. I highly suggest you lead your session with the stone
which resonates most to the desired outcome (I call this stone
the Master stone), or which has the strongest connection to you
(or your client);
a. For example, if you have swollen skin from eczema (more
on this in an upcoming chapter!), lead with Amethyst. Or
if you have a good success rate of feeling better when
using another stone – go with that one as your Master
stone instead.
b. I suggest to lead with a Master stone as a way to allow
the strongest stone the longest amount of time to
radiate its healing effects.
4. Assist the stone in releasing its healing energy by either
visualizing, thinking, or verbalising the following:
a. “I thank the loving energy that’s radiating out of this
[stone name] for helping [healing effects] from [person’s
name]’s [issue].”
b. For example, “I thank the loving energy that’s radiating
out of this amethyst for helping cleanse and reduce
swelling from Bill’s eczema.”
5. Now, hover the stone over the area of concern for as long as you
feel necessary. If you’re unsure, hover between 15 – 30 seconds
for each area.

19
a. If there is no localized area, you can hover and move until
you eventually cover the entire body; or you can hold the
stone in one hand, then with the other hand, use
sweeping motions to waft the stone’s energy in all
directions of the body. Either technique will allow the
stone’s energy envelope the entire body.
b. If you can safely place the stone on body (refer to
“Placement notes” mentioned before), it can sit there for
as long as you feel necessary. If you’re unsure, allow it to
sit on body for 3 – 5 minutes.
6. Once done, put the leading Master stone down on a stable
surface off to the side of the body.
a. If the stone was already on body, only allow it to remain
there if it’s not uncomfortable, and won’t interfere with
further movements or fall off during the rest of the
session. If you’re unsure, place it on a stable surface off
to the side of the body.
7. If you have more stones to incorporate in this session, repeat
steps 4 – 6 until you have gone through them all.
8. After all the stones have been incorporated, take a moment to sit
back and allow all the healing energy and intentions to vibrate
and resonate all around yourself (or your client). Relax for as long
as you feel necessary. If you’re unsure, allow 3 – 5 minutes to
elapse.
9. Once ready to end the session, carefully remove any stones near
the body, or remove any which are still on body, so you (or your
client) can safely begin to move.
a. As you pick up each stone to remove it, thank it for its
healing work by saying (or thinking) something like the
following:
i. “I thank you for your help and the healing work
you’ve done. Your job is done now, you can rest.”

20
10. To end the session, simply thank the Universe (or your angels,
spirit guides, or whatever resonates with you) for assisting you
and your crystals toward achieving the desired outcome.
11. Disconnect from the session and protect yourself.
12. Once all the stones have been removed, cleanse each stone – as
appropriate.
a. If you performed this session with a client, wait to
cleanse the stones until after they’ve left the premises.
b. Again, if you performed this session with a client,
complete your disconnection and protection steps, to
ensure there is as little entangled energy as possible,
between you and your client afterward.

Timing note
Depending on the number of intentions you’re working with, as well as
how many stones you’re using – the time frame for completion can be as
little as 15 minutes or last up to an hour. There is no right or wrong with
timing though – go as fast or slow as feels right to you (or your client).

My disconnection & protection steps

If you don’t already have your own process to disconnect and protect,
you can use my easy steps:

1. Imagine yourself and the recipient of your healing session;

2. Visualize the energy between you two as being a piece of string;
3. Now cut that ‘energetic’ string with an energetic “pair of scissors”
– you can simply do a ‘snipping’ motion with your hands for this;
4. Once cut, visualize yourself being immersed in white healing
light, from head to toe.
a. You can do these steps at any time after a healing
session. For example, if you forgot to close off, or you feel
like you may have picked up some negative energy – just
repeat the steps above.

21
Chakra-crystal correlations
Again, respecting your prior knowledge, I’m not using this chapter to
explain what Chakras are. But I do want to make the most out of this book
by allowing you to easily refer back to known Chakra stones – in this one
spot – as you progress through the more advanced techniques.

Whilst clearly not exhaustive, the following chart will contain some of the
more frequently used (and more commonly available) stones for the 7
Main Chakras.

But you’ll also note that I include additional Chakras in the chart, too.
They are what I call the ‘Higher’ and ‘Major’ Chakras. These Chakras go
beyond the personal 7 Main Chakras and play a big part in nurturing our
soul-journey.

If you aren’t familiar with the other Higher and Major Chakras, or don’t
know how you can effectively evolve them, then you might like to learn
more about them in my Advanced Chakra Healing course3.

Because crystals come into existence in countless ways, it’s not always
easy to remember ‘which’ crystal does ‘what’.

Sure, it’s easy enough to learn that a quartz crystal has certain attributes,
but what of its shape? Colouring or clarity? Number of facets? What role
do those characteristics play?

Those are great questions, and ones I aim to clarify in the upcoming
chapters where I’ll explain the more identifiable visible traits, particularly
those which will add value to your healing goals.

So let’s start off with colour intricacies!

Chapter Recap

 Crystals have innate healing qualities, but they need a healer to

fully realise their potential.

 Before using a crystal for healing, it should have an intention

placed and activated within it.

 There are a number of crystals which correspond with Chakras.

26
Chapter 2. Colour intricacies

Now that we’ve skimmed over the energy healing fundamentals, it’s time
we go into more detail about some of the complexities connected with
crystal colouring.

But before we do, I want to include some of the common crystal colour
meanings here. Again, I’m just including this basic knowledge in order to
make this book an easy reference guide for you.

Black

Shielding, grounding, detoxifying. Use when energy needs protection;

when lost or disconnected; to cleanse negative energy.

27
Blue

Truthfulness, expressive, calming. Use when energy is deceitful; to

articulate and communicate; to soothe and relax.

Brown

Foundational, earthy, balancing. Use when energy is disconnected; to

increase relationship with Gaia; to harmonize natural energy forces.

Gold

Awareness, wisdom, abundant. Use when energy is self-absorbed; when

it’s time to realise and act upon knowledge; to encourage acceptance of
wealth in all its forms.

Green

Loving, healing (emotional), prosperous. Use when energy is fearful or

hurtful; when emotional pain needs releasing; to aid in manifesting
abundance.

Orange
Inspiring, creative, transforming. Use when energy is lacklustre; to spark
imagination; to accept and embrace change.

Pink

Soothing, compassionate, empathetic. Use when energy is harsh; if

hardhearted and cold towards others; to nurture kindness and sympathy.

Purple / Deep Violet

Mindfulness, clarity, spiritual. Use when energy is careless; to improve

lucidity and understanding; to enhance Divine connection.

28
Red

Stimulating, motivating, instinctive. Use when energy is low and sluggish;

to shake off lethargy and melancholy; to increase perception and
understanding of inner feelings.

Silver / Grey

Transformational, cloaking, freeing. Use when energy needs help

transmuting into positive; to shield during astro- and ethereal travel; to
release negativity from one’s past.

White / Clear

Protective, divining, cleansing. Use when energy is vulnerable; to increase

ethereal gifts; to release all types of negativity.

Yellow

Encouraging, strengthening, purifying. Use when energy is doubtful and

lacks confidence; when assertion and growth is needed; when toxins
need to be released.

Okay, so now that we’ve grazed over those common colour qualities, let’s
look at some of the other colouring complexities which can affect a
crystal’s purpose.

29
Intensity (depth)
The more ‘intense’ a colour is in a stone, the more profound its healing
qualities will be. For example, if your healing goal is to stimulate energy,
if you have deeply coloured red stone, it’s likely to be more effective than
one which has less-intense red colouring.

So why would you ever use a less-intense coloured stone, if the more
intense one has more healing qualities?

Keeping with my red stone example, let’s say you want to help rouse
someone’s energy, but they have a weak constitution (whether physical
or mental). By using a really intense red coloured stone, you might
overwhelm them with too much energy.

As such, using a less-intensely coloured red crystal (and for a shorter

period of time), can still do what you want it to: rekindle that person’s
energy. But given it’s less-intense, it will do so in a more gentle, moderate
way.

In short, if you want to maximize the colour qualities in a stone, use one
whose colour is more intense or more deep. Other hand, if you still want
to use a crystal’s colour attribute, but not in an overly powerful way, use
one that is less-intense or lighter in colour.

30
Bi-colouring
Stones that encompass two separate colours within them are called “bi-
coloured”. There is a very distinct benefit of using a bi-colour stone over
using two stones with the same colours: harmony.

The fact a bi-colour crystal has assimilated two separate colours into the
one place means it conveys true unification and agreement. These same
sort of crystals also tend to have higher energetic vibrations because of
their colour combination.

For example, if you have a bi-coloured stone of white and turquoise, it

will usually have much stronger energy than two separate crystals – one
white, one turquoise – of a similar size. Plus, the bi-coloured white and
turquoise stone will have the harmonizing characteristic which those
separate stones might not have.

So if you ever want to enhance cooperation; lovingly merge two qualities,

or two purposes, or two intentions, and so on – a bi-coloured crystal can
definitely aid you in achieving that objective!

Colour changes
You might have noticed that some of your crystals have changed colour
from what they were when you originally got them. This morphing of
colour can mean a few different things, depending on the reason why the
crystal discoloured. Let’s go through some of the more common reasons
a crystal’s colour will change.

31
From exposure
If you’ve placed your crystal in an area where it’s exposed to the elements
– either sunshine (even if through a window), moisture (even if inside but
near a bathroom or shower), wind, water, and so on – then the exposure
to these things can end up fading and even changing your crystal’s colour
and its healing qualities.

In situations like this, there isn’t usually any deeper meaning to the
colour change – the crystal has simply weathered. If this has happened,
then you can expect your crystal’s original healing qualities to be
lessened, or even too weak to be effective.

If you have a severely weathered crystal and believe it’s lost its purpose,
please take a moment to thank it from your heart for its healing work.
And instead of just throwing it out – consider making it a part of your
garden or decoration in some other area.

Whilst it might not be emanating enough energy to be a part of your

healing toolkit, honouring it by allowing it to remain in your life is a
respect it most likely deserves.

From healing fatigue

Now, there may be an instance where your well-protected and well-
stored stones might start changing colour. In that situation, the alteration
could be the result of the amount of energy being passed through, and
used within it, as a result of your healing work.

Liken this to how the tread of a tire wears down the more it travels, or
the blade of a knife dulls a little more after each use – the more you use
a crystal, the more its energy will lessen.

If you notice this happening, take this as a sign that that particular stone
is starting to get a bit fatigued. Review how well you cleanse it after each
healing session and make improvements where necessary. Also take
some time to purposely send it some loving, rejuvenating energy, too.

32
You might want to let that stone rest a little while, and perhaps allow it
to bask in some moonlight to restore its energy. Sometimes these
cleansing and rejuvenating steps can help revitalize the stone’s colour
and purpose.

The next phase of our journey together will be about digging into the
particulars of a stone’s clarity (or lack thereof) and inclusions, and what
it means for healing.

Chapter Recap

 An intense colour will have more robust energy while a less-

intensely coloured one will have softer energy.

 Bi-coloured crystals convey unity and tend to have stronger

overall energy than if their colours were in separate stones.

 A change in crystal colour may be from exposure to the elements

or be a sign that the crystal is suffering from fatigue.

33
Chapter 3. Clarity & inclusion details

Crystals will have varying degrees of clarity (how clear they are) and
inclusions (marks or objects inside them), making them unique in both
purpose and beauty!

While some are completely clear, others have inclusions and milkiness
(cloudiness) in them. Let’s discuss each and what this all means in terms
of healing!

Clear
Clear crystals are characterized by being transparent and in most cases
you’ll be able to see right through them with the naked eye.

And because they’re nearly-flawless, there is nothing to distract or divert

the energy within them – making them great stones to use when you
need to concentrate and focus, or to be more precise and decisive.

What’s more, a clear stone’s qualities greatly assists with clarity of

34
thought. This means if you’re ever having a hard time getting ‘clear’ on
some idea, situation, or question – a clear stone can help you navigate
through the mental haze.

These transparent stones can also enhance energy transmission because

– as mentioned before – there’s nothing to disrupt the energy’s path. This
means the energy channelled to and within them won’t lose momentum
or stray off course.

And last (but not least!), because of its unblemished nature, the energy
passing through a clear stone can become better refined and even
purified. This means energy from a clear stone can assist in sessions
where purification is paramount, or when very specific areas need to be
targeted.

Milky (cloudy)
Now on the other hand, crystals which have a ‘milkiness’ about them (as
though there are clouds or watered-down ‘milk’ inside) are often
connected with qualities which are more intuitive and emotion-based.

So whilst they aren’t as direct and focused as a clear crystal, a milky

crystal has the special ability to evoke caring characteristics such as
nurturing, compassion, and empathy. As such, these crystals are much
better to use in situations which require more sensitivity.

An entire crystal may be milky, but you’ll also find many instances when
35
the milkiness will appear within a clear stone. In cases like that, it means
the stone has combined the two qualities in a beneficial way.

If you have a mostly clear crystal, with a tiny bit of milkiness, that stone
will have more of the clear crystal qualities with a touch of the other. But
if you have a stone that is mostly or entirely milky, it will encompass much
more of the emotion-based qualities mentioned before.

Positive changes
As mentioned in the ‘Colour changes’ section of the previous chapter,
there are times when the appearance of a stone changes. In the situation
where the clarity alters (not the colour), it can actually be a positive sign!

A positive change happens when you are not always taking from a crystal,
but are in an energy exchange with it. As such, you are likely giving it more
than it’s giving you!

For example, a well-practiced meditator may have a stone to aid in

evoking calm, but as they themselves resonate higher and higher – their
vibrations will end up benefiting the crystal, too!

Another example would be when a stone ‘matures’ alongside you and

becomes more ‘clear’. You might be meditating with it to gain focus in
your life. Then as you vibrate higher and get more clear, it becomes more
clear, too!

36
In the same way, a change can happen when a clear stone becomes more
milky. In that instance, the stone is taking on more empathetic qualities
and changing for the better.

Let’s put clarity aside and talk about stones with an identifiable shape or
something else entirely inside it!

Meaningful inclusions
Generally speaking, an “inclusion” in a stone is something – any other
mineral or material – that’s become trapped inside of it during its natural
formation. But sometimes inclusions aren’t just specks or shapes, they
look like something else!

In those instances, I call them meaningful inclusions because they point

toward characteristics which are more than bubbles or bits of minerals –
they have more purpose.

For example, if you have an inclusion in a stone which appears to be a

heart, that crystal will have more loving energy infused within it. Or if it
has angel wings (meaning the inclusion looks like a pair of wings), the
crystal either has heightened angelic, divine or protective properties – if
not all the above!

Okay, so let’s now go through some meaningful inclusions you might see
in crystals.

Angels or Angel Wings

Whether they appear as wings or an angel, or a winged angel – to me this
sort of inclusion means there is divine energy within that crystal.

In one of my quartz points (pictured next), I have a “Winged Angel”

inclusion, which I use to help me in all spiritual matters and healing. I will
also hold this crystal whenever I want to evoke wisdom from higher
realms.

37
Bubbles
Crystals with little ‘bubbles’ or pockets of air within them are also known
as enhydro crystals; enhydro is Greek for “as water within”. Whilst there
doesn’t have to be any actual water inside the bubble, it exists because
there was water at one time near or in the crystal while it was forming.

This means that one of the foundational elements of our existence

(water) played an integral role in the formation of the crystal. As such,
the presence of bubbles in a crystal represents: beginnings, origins,
purity, and ancestral knowledge.

Bursts
To me, if there’s a burst inside of a crystal, it’s representative of change
and transformation – going from one state to another. This sort of
inclusion is great for situations where fear of the unknown or fear of
change is keeping someone or something from advancing forward.

As an example, one of my clear quartz crystals has an “explosion” of

38
milkiness emanating from the middle (pictured next). The milky burst is
delivering intuition and empathy into the rest of the crystal.

I will use this particular stone if I ever want to help infuse compassionate
energy into a situation which is unfeeling or unbending.

Coal
A gemmologist would rightly argue that a coal inclusion is not good
because it reduces the value of precious gemstones. However, in a
healing capacity – the presence of coal’s earthiness and raw potential is
a brilliant thing to have!

A coal inclusion helps its host stone’s (the stone it’s stuck inside) boost
our core healing powers through its stored power. Think of a coal
inclusion as a little fuel-tank for your stone! It’s also a good way to help
with grounding, too. A coal inclusion doesn’t have to look like something
specific to have these qualities.

Cracks
A crack can be an inclusion (completely inside a stone), but it can also be
a major characteristic, too (present on the outside as well as through the
stone). But to keep this reference simple, I’ll combine all my explanations
of cracks into this one section.
39
So, the presence of cracks in a stone can be a positive or a negative thing,
depending on how the crack came to be, its appearance and whether it
will completely break your stone.

When considering cracked stone meanings, we will not consider friable

ones because they’re naturally brittle to begin with, so they crack easily.
We’ll also ignore cracks which you brought upon your crystal through
dropping or damaging it by accident.

So, the cracks I’m going to refer to are ones which have happened
through natural pressure or aging – or via some evocative circumstance.

Straight-line cracks

A stone with a straight line crack or multiple straight line cracks (pictured
next) – which do not splice through the entirety of the stone to the point
of breaking – have the unique ability to refract light and energy in
multiple directions, all at once.

This means they’re good for when you want the energy to emanate in
multiple directions, but in a general way (not in a precise way as a what a
point or wand does – more on that coming up). Or if you want the energy
to ‘scatter’ about, as would happen with multiple cracks.

Use these sorts of stones for crystal grids, because of their ability to bend
40
and refract light in many directions at once helps the energy make its way
through the grid structure. These can also be good for some types of
Space Clearing sessions.

Jagged or lightning cracks

A crack that appears like a lightning bolt, or a ‘Z’ – for me – represents a

shake-up, a jolt in the energy. Similar to what a burst inclusion is, but
more profound, more immediate, and more impactful. This sort of
inclusion can help with getting tentative energy to jump into action.

These sorts of cracked stones are also good for grids, but can also be used
on their own.

Complete cracks

Cracks which are like a seam that go right through the entire stone
(meaning you see it has cut through all sides from all angles), so the stone
is nearly broken – for me, epitomise separation.

Unless you specifically want detaching, disengaging and disconnecting

energy, avoid using a stone with this sort of inclusion if your core purpose
is about unity and connection.

Mystery cracks

If you’ve had a stone crack under unusual or mysterious circumstances,

41
then to work out its meaning, consider what was going on in your life (or
around the stone) when you noticed the crack. Once you’ve done that,
and you find the energy which created the crack can help serve you, skip
to the “Making your inclusion meaningful” section coming up, so you can
attribute a healing quality (or qualities) to it.

However, if you find that the crack has likely come about from something
negative or its healing qualities seemed compromised from the crack,
then it might be a good idea to retire this stone altogether and not use it
for healing (refer to the “Retiring a stone” section in the FAQ).

Hearts
As mentioned earlier, if you have an inclusion in a stone which appears
to be a heart, that crystal will have more loving energy infused within it.
It doesn’t have to be shaped perfectly – it just needs to appear like a heart
to embody this loving quality.

Making your inclusion meaningful

Given there are countless other shapes that can be discerned in a crystal,
if you have a shape inclusion that I haven’t touched on here – it doesn’t
necessarily mean there isn’t significance to it!

You’ll just need to take a little bit of time intuiting what it is and what it
might mean for you. Let me explain how I do this myself:

1. Think about what the inclusion looks like; and,

2. Once you identify what the inclusion looks like to you, write it
down;
3. Now, next to the inclusion description, write down three
adjectives which best describe what the inclusion shape means
to you; then,
4. Take a moment to re-read what you wrote and breathe slowly
and deeply for at least a minute or so; then,
5. Looking back over the words again, if their meanings still
resonate with the inclusion and with you – then you should
42
intend them into the crystal (refer back to “Intentions and
activating” in Chapter 1).
a. If one or more of the words do not resonate, then scrub
that word (or words) off the page, then;
b. Close your eyes and take a deep breath – and write the
next word (or words) that come to your mind.
c. Repeat this process until you feel you have the right
amount of descriptive words to validate the inclusion’s
meaning for you.

And there you go! Your crystal’s inclusion now has meaning to, and
purpose for, it and will become more and more infused with that loving
energy as you use it.

Here’s an example of an inclusion which I have made meaningful. In one

of my clear quartz crystals, there is a long rectangular void (empty area)
within it. The void narrows slightly at one end and, to me, it looks like a
little doorway (pictured next).

The light reflects divinely through this opening, so I attached “gateway,

transcendence, divine connection” to its purpose. As such, whenever I
use it, I find it helps me amplify the connection – and open the doorway
– to my higher self, as well as the divine energy around me.

43
Okay, so before we move on to the next chapter, I want to take a moment
to say that there is a lot of room for interpretation here! Remember, in
order for any energy healing to work – you must first resonate with
something and believe in it!

This means that what I see as a doorway or divine, you might not. And
whilst my experience with crystals has led me to my conclusions thus far,
if an explanation doesn’t resonate with you – that’s perfectly okay! Go
with what feels right for you, and it will be right for you.

With all that under our belt, it’s time to shift our attention onto how
shapes influence these lovely healing tools!

Chapter Recap

 Clear crystals tend to aid with concentration, focus, and

decisiveness.

 Milky crystals embody more empathetic and emotional qualifies.

 Meaningful inclusions have a range of attributes, which signify

depending on what they look like and mean to the healer.

44
Chapter 4. Shape particulars

Before we start discussing the nuances of crystal shapes, we need to get

on the same page about the term ‘facets’ because I’ll be using that word
a bit. A facet is the name we give the flat ‘face’ or surface on a crystal.

Typically speaking, the more the facets a crystal has, the more
opportunity that light (which is energy) has to reflect in that crystal. For
example, a generator point (more on this in the upcoming “Terminated”
section) has 6 ‘facets’ which create its point.

Whilst facets naturally occur, they’re also created by hand or machine to

produce a desired shape or purpose (pictured next).

45
This means you’d use a more faceted crystal if and when you want to
generate more energy for a session. But remember that there may be
times when you don't want to ramp up the energy. In situations where
you want to calm and balance energy, using crystals with less facets is a
good idea.

If using a crystal pendulum, a higher number of facets will allow more

energy to flow through it, thus enabling it to swing or move easier.

Speaking of facets and the fact they can be manmade, let’s quickly discuss
the differences between completely natural stones and those which have
been worked (shaped) by hand.

Natural vs. worked shapes

Naturally formed shapes tend to have a more ‘grounded’ and organic
energy. This is because their qualities were nurtured by, and born from,
nature.

They can also possess qualities which we hold sacred with Mother Earth,
such as the ability to connect with Gaia, to aid our own sense of
belonging, and so forth.

But that doesn’t negate the power of worked crystals. And what I mean
46
by ‘worked’ is when a crystal’s shape or appearance has been entirely
created (‘worked’) by someone, such as a decorative heart.

‘Partly worked’ is the term I use when someone alters or enhances part
of a crystal, but doesn’t entirely change its natural shape. An example of
partly worked would be a naturally-formed crystal cluster where the base
has been cut and squared so it can stand evenly.

Either way, a crystal’s shape – natural or worked - can add even more
energetic power to its healing qualities. So, I’ll do my best to outline some
useful shapes for you now!

Clusters
When multiple crystals have naturally formed in a group we call that a
‘cluster’. Generally speaking, when I refer to a crystal cluster, I’m usually
talking about a more substantial formation (as pictured next).

But to be clear, a crystal cluster can also be very, very small – we’ll discuss
more on that in the upcoming “Drusy” section!

The wonderful thing about crystal clusters (big or small) is that they’re
strength is increased by sheer numbers – the more crystals present, the
more energy vibrations. This means they’re ideal to use in a space (like a
room or office) where you want to enhance a certain type of energy.

For example, if you have a healing room like me – using a crystal cluster
47
like amethyst (spiritual balance) or clear quartz (purification) can aid in
your healing efforts.

And because clusters are a collection of many crystals, they embody the
values of group equanimity – each exists and acts for the greater good of
the other.

This means you don’t have to limit them to just your healing space. By
placing clusters in family or communal areas, you can foster harmony and
understanding for all those in its presence.

Clusters work wonderfully with Feng Shui techniques to promote

‘togetherness’ in the family home. They’re also fantastic when looking to
enhance good energy after a Space Clearing5 session.

However, they’re most effective when using them long-term – such as

getting a cluster as decoration and leaving it in a space either
permanently or for an extended period of time.

Abundance cluster
As the name suggests, an Abundance Crystal Cluster has the very prized
ability to strengthen the manifestation process. So they’re an ideal cluster
to have when you are planning your future or affirming goals.

This cluster is formed just like a general crystal cluster, yet has a size
requirement for one of the points and specific number of point
formations which need to be present.

So, let’s get to it! The Abundance Crystal Cluster must have one very
dominant crystal point, with at least nine (9) additional points around it.
The additional points will all be smaller than the dominant point (pictured
next).

5

space-clearing-course/
48
Its energy also aids in the growth cycle and forward progress. This means
it’s a good formation to have in a family home and near plants or a garden
– basically any place where you want to increase growth!

And yes, that would mean having one of these sitting next to your purse
or wallet is a good idea!

Keep in mind though, that this particular crystal cluster enhances all
growth! So be sure to remove this crystal cluster if there are negative or
unwanted elements near or around it!

For example, you would remove this cluster from a room with mould or
rising damp. And in terms of health, if someone (or an animal) has
abnormal cell growth or tumours, you would remove the cluster from
places they spend time in.

49
Barnacle cluster
Similar to how barnacles can grow on boats, a Barnacle Crystal Cluster is
what happens when a bunch of smaller crystals grow on and over an
existing larger crystal.

The largest crystal is often referred to as the “Old Soul” of the cluster and
it is either partially or fully covered with other crystals. The “Old Soul”
crystal never wearies of the newly formed barnacle crystals which attach
and grow on it.

Thus, the Old Soul crystal embodies incredible wisdom, patience, and
strength. And it’s those exact qualities which attract the smaller crystals
to, and thus grow on, it – which further shows off the beautiful “Old Soul”
qualities of being fully accepting and highly cooperative to all it
encounters.

As such, it should come as no surprise to say this is the perfect type of

crystal cluster to keep in communal family areas and even work
environments. It can allow the head of a household, and other leaders,
garner the strength to lead from love.

50
Cube (square)
There’s a reason we use the terms “building blocks” and “solid
foundations” when referring to having the right base to launch ourselves
from in life.

And that’s because we recognise we must first have stability underneath

us before we can start reaching for our dreams!

Putting it another way, a majority of us would have no problems standing

on a square box flat on the ground. But few of us would attempt to do
the same on a ball or an inverted triangle!

As such, there is hardly a better crystal shape than a cube (or square) to
represent grounding, stability, and reliability.

This means a crystal in this form can improve the process of meditation,
re-connecting to Gaia, as well as infuse stable and trustworthy energy
where ever it’s placed.

Cubes also make good protection stones because of those same reliable
qualities.

51
Drusy (or druzy, or druse)
Spelled a variety of different ways (as above), drusy crystals are really tiny
crystal points which have formed, in mass, on another crystal (most
typically on, or in a cavity within agate – as pictured next).

As mentioned earlier, they are similar to crystal clusters, but on a much

smaller size scale.

Because drusy crystals are minuscule clusters, they can still increase
energy vibrations as a result of their sheer numbers. And again, because
they’re technically a tiny collection of many crystals, they exude all those
good communal values of harmony and understanding.

Because Drusy crystals are quite common, they’re often seen in a variety
of crystal jewellery, such as rings and necklaces. This means you can
literally wear all the goodness where ever you go!

I even have a couple of beautiful drusy crystal necklaces myself (pictured

next).

52
Egg
The egg – a slightly oblong spheroid shape, with one end smaller than the
other. It’s representative of new life, new beginnings, nurturing.

As such, they can increase one’s ability to foster proper self-care,

enhance our sense of belonging, as well as aid us in achieving inner
balance. They are also great to boost fertility energy, too!

53
Geode (hollow)
Geodes are usually round in shape then ‘halved’ so you can see the
formation of crystals nestled within the walls of its hollow.

Clearly they’re stunning examples of what mother nature can do, but
they’re not just pretty – they have some special qualities, too!

Because the geode embraces smaller crystals inside itself, there is a

comforting and protective element to its formation. What’s more, the
void acts like a amplification chamber which strengthens the crystal’s
power.

As such, when you combine its all-encompassing appearance with its

magnification qualities – you have a crystal which gives off a strong,
steadfast, and reliable energy vibration. And because of its earthly
element, geodes are great for grounding one’s energy and can be
profusely beneficial for all Chakras of Matter.

They can also regulate energy which is going too fast in an area, making
it ideal for Feng Shui and Space Clearing applications.

54
Solid (nodule)
In terms of appearance, a nodule geode is exactly like the hollow geode,
excepting there is no empty void inside – just a solid plethora of beautiful
crystals.

This stone formation still provides strong, grounding energy – however,

it doesn’t have the same amplification qualities as its hollow counterpart.

Heart

Similar to what I explained about a heart inclusion, if you have a heart-

shaped crystal (natural or worked), that crystal will have the ability to
bolster more loving energy into whatever your intention is.
55
I actually keep a Serpentine (New Jade) heart crystal next to my bed, and
often place it on my own heart when self-healing.

Pyramid
Shaped just as you imagine, a crystal pyramid has a square base with its
four triangle sides creating a single point at the top.

Because they have such a wide base, yet an incredibly pin-pointed top,
they are brilliant energy amplification stones.

Their ability to power-up energy into the realm of our Universe means
you can use them as the Master stone (aka. Keystone) in a crystal grid to
enhance its intention, bolster the energy around manifestation, or
further project distance healing efforts.

In short, crystals which are pyramid shaped are powerful and definitely
worth having in your toolkit!

56
Raw
A “raw” stone is one that has been left completely unworked, so
untouched by human tinkering and influence.

Because raw stones are still in their original form (as crafted by Mother
Nature), it means their energy will be in their most natural state, too.

As such, raw crystal will have a natural, yet extremely strong and pure
energy about them.

This makes them ideal to use when you want to use them in nature, or to
promote the natural flow of energy.

Terminated (points)
When speaking of crystals, “terminated” or “termination” refers to the
‘end point’ that’s been created by the facets of a crystal on one end (or
both ends).

Generally, we call this a ‘point’.

The term “crystal point” is the overarching name we give to almost any
crystal that has a termination, be it natural or worked, on either end.

57
Single
One of the most common point types is the single-terminated crystal. It
simply refers to there being only one point on it.

If you want energy to flow towards yourself (or someone or something

else), position the point of the crystal towards yourself; or toward where
ever you want the energy to flow.

If you want to release energy from yourself (or someone or something

else), position the point of the crystal away from yourself; or away from
where ever you’re wanting to help release energy from.

Double
A double-terminated crystal it has two points – usually one on each end.
As you would suspect, the energy from a double terminated point flows
in two directions – out either end.

58
As such, these points are great to use if you want to ‘break’ up old energy
patterns, such as you would do in a ‘dense’ room during Space Clearing.
They’re also useful to help generate energy movement on crystal grids.

Generator
This is when a crystal has six, equal-sided triangular facets which meet at
singular point. The image below shows the top of a generator point, with
dotted lines to help you identify the facets.

As its name suggests, this type of crystal point generates energy and can
direct and focus energy in the direction it’s pointed.

59
Transmitter (booster)
A transmitter crystal is shaped like a ‘complicated’ singe-terminated
point. It has two 7-sided facets which end up creating two perfect
triangles between them, see my graphic below.

This shape doesn’t just generate energy, it boosts it! Just like its
namesake, this point ensures your energy healing (or thought
communication) gets transmitted more fully and effectively through
space-time.

60
I highly recommend using a transmitter crystal if you want to improve or
specialise in distance healing6.

Wand (long point)

A wand, or long point, is simply longer than its counterpart – the
generator point – although there is no set length measurement which
makes it so. I consider it a wand when you can easily hold it and there is
still quite a bit of the crystal protruding from your hand.

A wand can more easily, and with more accuracy, direct healing energy
to whatever it’s pointed at.

6
Distance Healing Specialty course:
https://naturalhealer.com.au/product/reiki-distance-healing-course/
61
Tabular
A tabular point is characterized by its point being more ‘flattened’ – so
not rounded or tube-shaped like a generator point.

This compressed tabular characteristic enables the point to have a wider

‘spread’ of energy than what a generator or wand has.

As such, it’s a better crystal point to use when you’re wanting to project
energy over a larger area. This is another good shape to use for Space
Clearing.

Tumbled (rounded)
As one of the most common and affordable types of crystals around,
these stones are produced after being “tumbled” in a machine with a
rotating cylinder.

The process produces a glossy, smooth stone without sharp edges (the
edges have been ‘rounded’).

62
As a result of the tumbling process, their energy is often softer and
smoother. This means, in addition to their (usually) small size which
makes them easy to handle and carry, they’re ideal stones to incorporate
when performing energy healing.

This means they’re especially good if you’re incorporating crystals with

someone who is new to energy healing, or who is very sensitive or
delicate in nature – be it physically, emotionally, or energetically.

Twin (soul mate)

As the name implies, a twin crystal shares a single base but has two points
rising upward.

63
Because of this unique formation, the energy emanating from it will be
very well balanced and strong.

As such, a twin crystal is perfect to heal and encourage positive

relationship energy. But keep in mind, its healing abilities aren’t just for
romantic relationships!

They can be used for the improved unity of energy between siblings,
family members, friendships, partnerships, and any other relationship
which has two energies involved.

Wow! Look at us go! We’ve covered a lot of ground thus far and have
gone right through quite a lot of crystal intricacies. So it’s now time we
move into the advanced crystal knowledge chapters!

Chapter Recap

 The more faceted a crystal is, the more energy it can generate.

 A natural shaped occurred through mother nature, while a

worked shape was created with the help of human hands.

 The shape of a crystal can immensely influence its strength and

purpose.

Chapter 5. Physical body

When looking to aid with the healing, recovery and soothing of physical
ailments, there are certain crystals that offer more benefit than others.
Given there are quite a lot of body “systems” to traverse, my aim in this
chapter is to provide you with stones for the more common concerns.

But I do hope you take the time to read through each section – even if
you do not have an issue in that area – so you can see how very special
our being is in its entirety. And to remember to take good care of it.

It goes without saying, there are a wide variety of reasons 7 that physical
issues arise in any sentient being. Be they from surroundings,
medications, diet, stress, lifestyle choices, and so on.

As such, it’s important to remember that crystal healing plays just one
part in the natural healing process. It should never be considered a “cure”

for any condition, serious or otherwise. For any symptoms which are
urgent or that persist, seek immediate professional advice.

And one more thing, don’t forget to consider the crystal intricacies we’ve
covered up to now! When you locate a particular healing stone, see if it
also has special characteristics (such as meaningful inclusions, bi-
colouring, and so on) that can further bolster its healing purpose!

Now, let’s dive into how we can encourage healing in that glorious
Spiritual House (that’s my term for the physical body) of yours!

Integumentary system
We don’t often refer to the integumentary system by its name, but we’re
all intimately familiar with it: skin, hair, and nails. For our friends in the
animal kingdom, it’s fur, scales, feathers and hooves! If we didn’t have
this protective system over us, we’d be extremely vulnerable to the
outside world – so safeguarding it is critical for our overall wellbeing.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
66
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.
The association I’ve made is to simply help you select the stone that’s
most likely to provide benefit.

If you do not see a particular ailment listed, that’s okay. Simply refer to
the healing effects you’re looking for and select a stone that way. The
stones can be used on their own, used in combination, integrated into
healing steps, or as part of a grid:

Crystal Helpful for Healing effects

Agate Skin disorders Soothes, calms, anti-

inflammatory

Amethyst Acne Cleanses, lessens bruising,

Eczema reduces swelling

Aventurine Acne Eases reactions, anti-

Eczema inflammatory

Blue Lace Agate Psoriasis, Skin Calms, soothes, cools

Hexagram grid
The Hexagram grid is perfect for integumentary system healing because
it’s well balanced for cleansing, re-energizing, as well as protecting.

To set up the grid, you will need seven (7) stones in total: six smaller –
one for each point, and one larger “Master stone” (aka. Keystone) to
place in the middle.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone is the most relevant healing stone and

could even be the same stone you used as your “leading
stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Agate or Rhyolite as your

Master stone.

2. Now place the other six (6) stones at each of the star’s points.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. But, don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use, simply use any clear crystals to place at
the points to help amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

68
69
Skeletal system
We’re all familiar with the skeletal system, even if we don’t know what
each and every one of our 200 or so bones are for. But we must
remember, if our skeletal system gets compromised, the rest of our body
won’t have the rigid and strong foundations it needs in order to function!

Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

71
Square grid
The simple square grid establishes solid foundations and balance in one’s
life – which is exactly what a compromised skeletal system needs.

To set up the grid, you will need five (5) stones in total: four smaller –
one for each point, and one larger “Master stone” (aka. Keystone) to
place in the middle.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone is the most relevant healing stone and

could even be the same stone you used as your “leading
stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Clear Quartz or Tiger’s Eye

as your Master stone.

2. Now place the other four (4) stones at each of the square’s
points.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any clear crystals to place at
the points to help amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

72
73
Muscular system
In addition to being the mechanism for our bodies to move, the muscular
system helps us stand upright and assists with the circulation of blood. As
such, if this system ever becomes compromised, the most simplest of
actions – like lifting a finger – becomes a challenge.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

75
Sunburst grid
The sunburst grid is an energiser, motivator, and rejuvenator of energy
which is why it’s ideal for most muscular disorders.

You’ll note the sunburst grid has a substantial number of “rays”, but you
don’t have to use all of them. My personal preference is to use 12 rays,
but you can use less or more, depending on how much energy you want
to generate!

To set up the grid (as I do), you will need 19 stones in total: twelve smaller
– one for each ray ‘tip’, then six more for placement on the rays’ arms,
and one larger “Master stone” to place in the middle.

If you don’t have that many stones to work with, that’s okay! Just try to
use an equal number of stones on the rays. For example, if you have 7
stones to use in total, put one as your Master stone then the other six for
the rays (placing three on each side for balance). On the other hand, if
you have more stones, that’s great! Simply place any addition stones on
empty points to create a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Black Kyanite or Black

Tourmaline as your Master stone.

1. Now place twelve (12) stones at the “tip” of the rays you feel
drawn to.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.
76
b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system
crystals to use. Simply use any clear crystals to help
amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

2. Then place the other six (6) stones on the actual rays, midway
between the Master stone and the tips.
a. Place these on the rays which already have stones on
their tips

77
Nervous system
The nervous systems is a gloriously complex electrical ‘circuit board’ that
instantly and continuously delivers and interprets the sensory
information we experience (both within and around us).

If this system falters, we cannot understand or make use of those

sensations, thus we won’t be able to respond accordingly.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

Infinity grid
Before we move into the Infinity grid, I just want to point out that the
Hexagram grid is also a good one to use. In particular, use the Hexagram
grid before the Infinity one if someone is overcoming an intense
treatment or has recently suffered a turn.

Otherwise, the significance of using an Infinity grid is to help the energy

unite the nervous system to the part of the body it’s disconnected from.
This unifying grid will help nurture the energy to become one again with
the whole body.

What’s more, the Infinity grid’s simplistic shape will continue to balance
and ground the energy, too. This will lead to stronger foundations for
future healing sessions.

To set up the grid (as I do), you will need 11 stones in total: ten smaller
for placement on each loop, then one larger “Master stone” to place in
the middle. If you have more stones, that’s great! Simply fill up as much
empty space for a more solid grid.

If you don’t have that many stones to work with, that’s okay! Just try to
use an equal number of stones on the rays. For example, if you have 7
stones to use in total, put one as your Master stone then the other six for
the loops (placing three on each side for balance).

2. Now place the other ten (10) stones at around each loop.
80
a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions
as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any clear crystals to help
amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

81
Endocrine system
As our body’s key chemical messenger, the endocrine system is the
feedback loop for our hormones as they circulate.

If this system gets compromised, the hormones that regulate

metabolism, growth, and reproduction (just to name a few) will falter –
which can lead to disease.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

83
Square grid
This is the same formation as what we used in the skeletal system section.
I’m suggesting to use this simple grid again because we want to
encourage the re-balancing and steadiness of energy within the
endocrine system. The square grid energy will solidify that equilibrium,
which we can use as firm foundations for further healing.

To set up the grid, you will need five (5) stones in total: four smaller –
one for each point, and one larger “Master stone” to place in the middle.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Amber or Citrine as your

Master stone.

84
85
Cardiovascular system
Our heart and blood vessels (even the blood itself) make up our amazing
cardiovascular system. If the vessels get damaged, oxygen and nutrients
can’t reach our organs and extremities. And if our hearts malfunction, the
powerhouse pumping that life-giving blood cannot do its job.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

Infinity grid
As mentioned in the nervous system section, the significance of using an
Infinity grid is to help the energy unite so the body can harmonise and
work together. Now we’re looking to connect the cardiovascular system
with the lymphatic system (where the immune system is) and the nervous
system (where the ‘electric’ current of life is rooted).

What’s more, the Infinity grid’s simplistic shape will continue to balance
and ground the energy, too. This will lead to stronger foundations for
future healing sessions.

To set up the grid (as I do), you only need 3 stones in total: two smaller
and one larger “Master stone” to place in the middle. But if you have
more stones, that’s great! Simply fill up as much empty space for a more
solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Kunzite or Jade as your

Master stone.

2. Now place the other two (2) stones at the outer edge of each
loop.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any clear crystals to help
amplify the Master stone’s purpose.
88
89
On body grid
You can also use this grid on body, but only if safe and appropriate to do
so. You don’t have to put the actual drawing of the Infinity on the body,
just place the stones in their relevant spots.

1. Gently place the Master stone on the area of the heart.

a. For this on body grid, the Master stone is placed at the

bottom of the Infinity symbol.

2. Place second stone (if you can, use Bloodstone) at the Upper
Heart Chakra – this is the space between your Heart and Throat
Chakras.

3. Place the third and final stone (if you can, use Blue Lace Agate)
as close and as comfortably as you can to the Alta Major Chakra.

4. Hover one, or both, of your hands and “draw” (in the air) the
Infinity symbol, which is like a figure ‘8’, out in front of you.

a. As you do this, try your best to make the motions over

the Heart, Upper Heart, and Alta Major Chakras.

b. This will help the crystal’s energy work with the grid –
thus help the cardiovascular, nervous, and lymphatic
systems unite.

90
91
Lymphatic system
The incredibly important lymphatic system is like the “goodbye highway”
for toxins and waste to leave our bodies. The lymph needs movement to
push its infection-fighting fluid throughout our bodies. If we don’t move
or support this system, toxicity builds up and disease sets in.

Crystals chart
Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.

Infinity grid
You’ve seen this grid a few times now, as I included it in the nervous
system and cardiovascular sections. As such, you already know the
significance of using this grid to help the energy unite so the body can
harmonise and work together.

This time, we’re looking to connect the lymphatic system with the
cardiovascular system (from where the heart pumps) and nervous system
(where the ‘electric’ current of life is rooted).

What’s more, the Infinity grid’s simplistic shape will continue to balance
and ground the energy, too. This will lead to stronger foundations for

b. This will help the crystal’s energy work with the grid –
thus help the cardiovascular, nervous, and lymphatic
systems unite.

96
97
Respiratory
Breathing is the primal action we all need before anything else. We can
last weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without
breath. As such, the respiratory system, including its heavy weight
champions – the lungs – is something we must honour and treat with
immense respect.

Digestive
The digestive system is our body’s integral nutrient pathway. It begins at
our mouths, winds through the oesophagus, stomach, small and large
intestine, and then to the ‘end’ – so to speak! Without this system, we
wouldn’t be able to consume, break down, and absorb the nutrition we
need to live, so taking care of it is paramount!

Renal
If it weren’t for the renal system, particularly the kidneys, excess fluid
waste can’t be expelled from our body. If our renal system isn’t
functioning, that waste starts to build up within us, which means all
manner of negative ailments can spring up! So we must take care of it!

Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.
The association I’ve made is to simply help you select the stone that’s
most likely to provide benefit.

If you do not see a particular ailment listed, that’s okay. Simply refer to
the healing effects you’re looking for and select a stone that way.

The stones can be used on their own, used in combination, integrated

into healing steps, or as part of a grid:

Hexagram grid
The Hexagram grid is ideal for renal system healing because it’s well
balanced for cleansing, re-energizing, as well as protecting.

To set up the grid, you will need seven (7) stones in total: six smaller –
one for each point, and one larger “Master stone” to place in the middle.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Jade or Rose Quartz as your

108
109
Reproductive
Without going into great detail, we know that all of us have a
reproductive system which consists of both internal and external organs.
Clearly, without this system functioning properly, our primal desire to
procreate cannot be met. So we must take great care of it!

Whilst I’ve connected specific crystals to particular concerns in the
following chart, they are not exclusively useful for only those disorders.
The association I’ve made is to simply help you select the stone that’s

Sunburst grid
The sunburst grid is an energiser, motivator, and rejuvenator of energy
which is why it’s a great choice for reproductive system issues.

3. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Carnelian or Rose Quartz

as your Master stone.

4. Now place twelve (12) stones at the “tip” of the rays you feel
drawn to.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.
112
b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system
crystals to use. Simply use any clear crystals to help
amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

5. Then place the other six (6) stones on the actual rays, midway
between the Master stone and the tips.
a. Place these on the rays which already have stones on
their tips

113
Fertility formation on the Seed of Life grid
For the express purpose to enhance fertility, using stones from this
system on the Seed of Life grid may help boost your goals!

To set up the grid, you will need seventeen (17) stones in total: eight
smaller, then another eight larger, to place at certain interlocking of the
circles. You’ll then need a larger “Master stone” to place in the middle. If
you have more stones, that’s great! Simply place any addition stones on
empty points or other angles to create a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Moonstone or Chrysoprase

as your Master stone.

2. Now place a set of eight (8) smaller stones at the ‘tip’ of the
innermost ‘flower’ which is emanating from under the Master
stone.

3. Now place a set of eight (8) larger stones along the outer edge,
where the circles interlock.

114
115
Other common issues
I’ve split out the following common physical issues from the previous
sections because, whilst they can appear in conjunction with a disorder,
they can also present completely on their own (meaning, not attached
with a specific disorder).

Inflammation
Inflammation is often times the root cause for many of the aches and
pains we experience. Ideally we should look to uncover the root cause of
inflammation first – be it stress, posture, diet, exercise (or lack thereof),
medications, environmental influences, and so on.

Why? Because if we can identify the true source of what’s causing the
irritation, and rectify it, our chances of relief are far greater!

To be clear, the following stones aren’t going to solve the reason for
inflammation, but they are often used to soothe and relief the symptoms.

116
As such, the more common anti-inflammatory crystals are:

 Aventurine
 Blue Lace Agate
 Malachite
 Moss Agate
 Turquoise

You can place the crystal, only if appropriate and safe to do so, on the
area of concern. Or just have the stone as close as possible, or in the room
with you.

Headache
Unfortunately, there are few people in the western world who haven’t
had some level of headache during the course of their life.

Whenever possible, we should ask ourselves, “Why did I get the

headache?”, in particular if the headaches are chronic.

Did the headache come about from a once-off situation that isn’t likely to
happen again? Or is it repeating a pattern or cycle that can be connected
to inflammation (see previous section), a situation, hormones, an allergy,
or something else?

When we ask ourselves these questions, we go past just experiencing

pain – and dive into the uncovering of why it happens.

From there, we start to understand what the source is that triggers a

headache. Then once we know what triggers it, we can adjust ourselves
accordingly or get further help, which will allow us to either avoid or
minimise them in future.

It’s at that point, we’ve started to take control over what’s happening to
us, as opposed to just suffering its outcomes.

117
As you know, the following crystals aren’t a replacement for proper
medication and they aren’t going to ‘fix’ the root cause of a headache.

However, the ones listed below may be able to provide some relief:

 Amber
 Amethyst
 Hematite
 Smoky Quartz
 Turquoise

You can place the crystal, only if appropriate and safe to do so, on the
area where the headache is. Or just have the stone as close as possible,
or in the room with you.

118
Insomnia
There are a wide variety of reasons insomnia can set in. Whether it’s from
stress, overthinking, too much caffeine, hormones and more – it can be a
short-term inconvenience or a long-term disorder.

Just as I mention in the previous sections, doing our best to understand

why we suffer from sleep deprivation is one the best ways for us to find
a long-term solution.

Are our mind’s too stimulated just as we go to bed? Such as watching TV

or looking on your smartphone while in bed? Are we playing out
situations (in our minds) that we have yet to resolve? Or is it something
else altogether?

If we don’t ask these questions of ourselves, we are less likely to get to

the root cause, thus less likely to find a long-term solution to the problem.

But crystals can help lull our energy into more relaxation, ideal for
slumber! The following are most beneficial for inducing sleep:

119
 Amethyst
 Celestite
 Hematite
 Moonstone
 Rose Quartz

You can place the crystal, only if appropriate and safe to do so,
underneath your pillow. Or if that’s not possible, just have the stone on
your night stand, or in the room with you.

Chapter Recap

 There are 11 body systems which we must take care of for the
best chances of living a happy and healthy existence.

 Certain crystal grids, in combination with specific stones, can help

bolster the energy for a particular healing goal.

 We must ask ourselves “why” we’re experiencing pain, then look

deeper into the root causes so we get the best chances of finding
a long-term solution.

120
Chapter 6. Emotional body

As you already know, there are quite a lot of reasons8 why emotional pain
presents itself. It can stem from things we’ve held within and carried with
us over time – such as childhood trauma, significant life events, and
shock.

But we can also create new emotional pains, and even anchor them into
ourselves, by failing to nourish the part of ourselves which can
instantaneously make us happy: our emotional body.

Again, it’s important to remember that crystal healing plays just one part
in the natural healing process. It should never be considered a “cure” for
any condition, serious or otherwise. For any symptoms which are urgent
or that persist, seek immediate professional advice.

In the upcoming pages, I’ll do my best to cover as many emotions as I can,

but I’m going to pay particular attention to ones which are more
common.

121
So if you don’t see the specific one you’re after, that’s okay! Just locate
the next closest one on the list, and that associated stone will be helpful
for you.

When you locate the stone, or stones, you are going to use – hold them,
wear them, place them in your room, or set up a crystal grid are all great
way to benefit from their healing energy.

Anger
This includes the negative feelings of aggression, disgust, hatred, and
repulsion. Also refer to “Anxiety” and “Fear”. The following stones play
an important part in dissipating hostility and nurturing love.

 Amethyst
 Bloodstone
 Blue Lace Agate
 Rose Quartz
 Any Root or Heart Chakra stones

Dissipating Anger Triangle grid

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, create a Triangle
grid formation with relevant stones to enhance peaceful energy as well
as creates a feeling of protection. If you have more stones, that’s great!
Simply fill up as much empty space for a more solid grid.

To set up the grid, you will need three (3) stones in total: all relatively
similar in size – one for each point. The “Master stone” doesn’t have to
be larger, but should be paced at the top point.

1. Place the Master stone at top point of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant
healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

122
b. If you’re unsure, you can use Bloodstone as your Master
stone.
2. Now place the other two (2) stones at each of the triangle’s
bottom points.

123
On body grid
You can also use this grid on body, but only if safe and appropriate to do
so. You don’t have to put the actual drawing of the grid on the body, just
place the stones in their relevant spots.

1. Gently place a Rose Quartz crystal as your Master stone on your

Heart Chakra
2. Lay back and now place the other two (2) stones on each hip.
a. You can keep your hands on these hip stones or move
your hands down to your side.
3. Visualise yourself connecting with your Heart and the true love
within it.

124
Anxiety
This includes the negative feelings of nervousness, worry, and
apprehension. Also refer to “Fear”. The following stones play an
important part of easing those counter-intuitive and counterproductive
feelings, and encourage acceptance, calm and peace.

 Aventurine
 Rose Quartz
 Tiger’s Eye
 Tourmaline
 Any Root and Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Triangle
grid formation, as explained earlier.

Boredom
This includes the negative feelings of monotony, tedium, and dullness.
The following stones play an important part in revving up the energy
within so you can start feeling the excitement and adventure of life again!

 Amber
 Carnelian
 Clear Quartz
 Jasper
 Any Root Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid formation as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this
time you’re going to use stones and intentions for your emotional
benefit.

125
Calmness
This includes the positive feelings of peacefulness, tranquillity,
composure and serenity. The following stones play an important part in
either inducing a state of calmness or helping prolong it.

 Amethyst
 Aventurine
 Rose Quartz
 Smoky Quartz
 Any Heart Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Triangle
grid formation, as explained earlier in this chapter.

Compassion
This includes the positive feelings of understanding, kindness, and
empathy. The following stones play an important part in evoking these
gentle emotions and can help prolong them.

 Agate
 Amazonite
 Kunzite
 Rose Quartz
 Any Upper (Higher) Heart Chakra stones.

Heart-shape grid
If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, create a Heart-
shape grid formation with relevant stones to enhance loving energy
needed for true compassion.

To set up the grid, you will need at least eight (8) stones in total: all
relatively similar in size – one for each major point on the grid. The
“Master stone” doesn’t have to be larger, but if it is, that will add greater
benefit.

126
Also, if you have more stones, that’s great! Simply fill up as much empty
space for a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the ‘heart of the heart’. This is the
point where the two ‘humps’ of the heart meet, I call this the
‘heart of the heart’.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Rose Quartz as your Master

stone.

2. Now place two (2) stones at the top of each ‘hump’ of the heart,
and one (1) at the bottom point.

3. Evenly place the remaining four (4) on either side of the heart.

a. If you have more stones to make a more ‘complete’

heart, that’s perfect! The more the better!

127
128
Confusion
This includes the negative feelings of being mixed-up, uncertain and
misunderstood. The following stones play an important part in promoting
clarity and calm.

 Aquamarine
 Azurite
 Citrine
 Jade
 Any Third Eye Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Triangle
grid formation, as explained earlier in this chapter.

Fear
This includes the negative feelings of dread, distress, and terror. Also
refer to “Anger” and “Anxiety”. The following stones play an important
part in promoting calm and confidence.

 Agate
 Black Tourmaline
 Rose Quartz
 Tiger’s Eye
 Any Heart or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Hexagram
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, or the Triangle
grid from earlier in this chapter.

129
Happiness
This includes the positive feelings of joy, enjoyment, pleasure, and
contentment. Also refer to “Love”. The following stones play an
important part in nurturing these gratifying emotions and can help
prolong them.

 Amazonite
 Rose Quartz
 Sodalite
 Sunstone
 Any Heart or Upper (Higher) Heart Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this time
you’re going to use stones and intentions for your emotional benefit.

Jealousy
This includes the negative feelings of distrust, suspicion, envy and
resentfulness. Also refer to “Anger” and “Fear”. The following stones play
an important part in promoting clarity and understanding.

 Amethyst
 Rhodochrosite
 Rose Quartz
 Ruby
 Any Heart or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Hexagram
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, or the Triangle
grid from earlier in this chapter.

130
Love
This includes the positive feelings of joy, contentment, acceptance, and
enlightenment. Also refer to “Compassion” and “Happiness”. The
following stones play an important part in nurturing these gratifying
emotions and can help prolong them.

 Agate
 Celestite
 Rhodochrosite
 Rose Quartz
 Any Heart Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this time
you’re going to use stones and intentions for your emotional benefit.

Sadness
This includes the negative feelings of grief, unhappiness, and
despondency. Also refer to “Boredom” and “Fear”. The following stones
play an important part in dissipating negative energy and encouraging
one to look ahead.

 Jade
 Ruby
 Smoky Quartz
 Sunstone
 Any Heart or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this time
you’re going to use stones and intentions for your emotional benefit.

131
Self-esteem
This includes the positive sensations of feeling admiration, adoration,
appreciation, pride and respect for (and towards) oneself. This emotion
isn’t about getting a ‘big head’ or becoming self-absorbed, it’s about you
feeling good about yourself.

On the flip-side, if you have low self-esteem, the negative feelings of

despair, disgust, nothingness, embarrassment, and shame come to the
forefront. The following stones play an important part in balancing one’s
self-esteem and self-love:

 Citrine
 Larimar
 Mangano Calcite
 Rose Quartz
 Or any Root, Heart, and Upper (Higher) Heart Chakra stones

If you want a bigger boost of positive energy, use the Square grid as
explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this time you’re going
to use stones and intentions for your emotional benefit.

Shame
This includes the negative feelings of awkwardness, embarrassment,
disgrace and guilt. Also refer to “Anger” and “Self-Esteem”. The following
stones play an important part in shaking off those negative feelings so
you can move forward in life with confidence.

 Jasper
 Larimar
 Rhodocrosite
 Rose Quartz
 Any Upper (Higher) Heart or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Triangle
grid formation, as explained earlier in this chapter.
132
Triumph
This includes the positive feelings of success, achievement,
accomplishment, and unpretentious pride. Also refer to “Happiness”. The
following stones play an important part in nurturing these gratifying
emotions and can help prolong them.

 Amethyst
 Smoky Quartz
 Sunstone
 Tiger’s Eye
 Any Heart or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this time
you’re going to use stones and intentions for your emotional benefit.

Relationships
Because our families and relationships are complex – both in the various
personalities and circumstances they’re connected to – using multiple
crystals (with a grid formation) over a longer period of time is a good idea.

I also suggest you refer to the previous emotional states when looking to
create the optimal crystal combination for your situation because you
may need a variety that can harmonize varying energies.

All the below stones will work towards nurturing, improving and
harmonising the relationship energy they’re under.

Romantic
 Jade
 Jasper
 Rhodochrosite
 Rose Quartz
 Any Root or Heart Chakra stones

133
Children or siblings
 Agate
 Carnelian
 Jade
 Pink Agate
 Any Sacral or Heart Chakra stones

Friends or extended family

 Blue or Blue-green obsidian
 Jade
 Rhodonite
 Rose Quartz
 Any Throat or Heart Chakra stones

Work colleagues
 Amethyst
 Blue or Blue-green obsidian
 Jade
 Seraphinite
 Any Throat or Solar Plexus Chakra stones

Harmonic connection grid

This simple grid portrays the combining and harmonising of two different
energies. Whilst this grid works wonders for romantic relationships, it can
be used for any relationship which you wish to balance.

To set up the grid, you will need enough stones to create two
interlocking circles, which can be of any size. You should also have one
“Master stone” slightly larger, if possible. If you have more stones, that’s
great! Simply fill up as much empty space for a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the core of the grid – where the two
interlocking circles will overlap.

134
a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant
healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use any Heart Chakra stone as

your Master stone.

2. Now place as many stones as necessary to create the first circle.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any pink and/or clear crystals
to place at the points to help amplify the Master stone’s
purpose.

3. Then place the rest of the stones to form the second circle.

135
136
Metatron’s Cube grid
Because the Metatron’s Cube grid represents the complexities of our
existence, it’s the perfect formation when working to improve
multifaceted situations. For example, major career changes or
advancements and complicated relationships (earthly or otherwise).

This grid can unify and connect energies from any point in the Universe,
from all directions, into a centre point which can create and manifest
harmonious outcomes.

To set up the grid, you will need thirteen (13) stones in total: all relatively
similar in size but with the “Master stone” slightly larger.

1. Place the Master stone at the core of the grid – at the middle
circle.

a. The Master stone (ake. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Jade as your Master stone.

2. Now place the next six (6) stones in the middle of the first ring
of circles.

3. Then place the last six (6) stones in the middle of the outer ring
of circles.
137
Chapter Recap

 Crystals are ‘helper’ tools for healing, but should never replace
professional counselling or medical supervision for those
suffering from emotional pain.

 Certain crystals, such as Amethyst and Rose Quartz, can

encompass a multitude of healing attributes which make for
good working stones for healers.

 Grid formations are a great way to further enhance a crystal, or

set of crystals, energetic properties.

138
Chapter 7. Spiritual body

Working with our spiritual body is usually a step that someone takes once
they’ve achieved a certain level of contentment with their physical and
emotional selves.

When we stand on solid ground – physically and emotionally – it sets the

perfect base for us to look upward, evolve higher, and blossom the
ethereal gifts within us.

Again, in the following pages, I’m going to do my best to list out some of
the more common areas of development for one’s spiritual self.
However, if you don’t see the specific area you’re after, just locate the
next closest one on the list, and that associated stone will be helpful for
you.

When you locate the stone, or stones, you are going to use – hold them,
wear them, place them in your room, or set up a crystal grid are all great
way to benefit from their healing energy.

139
Ancestral healing
Below are a couple of stones which are great for dissolving and resolving
ancestral burdens:

 Black Obsidian
 Bloodstone
 Any Root Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Past Life
grid formation (shown in the upcoming Karma section).

Enlightenment
There are quite a lot of stones you can use to help you evolve and achieve
enlightenment, but a couple of really good ones are:

 Lemurian Seed
 Phenacite
 Any Crown, Soul, Spirit, or Alta Major Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid formation as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this
time you’re going to use stones and intentions for your spiritual benefit.

Ethereal gifts
I use the term “ethereal gifts” in place of ‘psychic’. I do this as a choice
because I want to step away from preconceived ideas about what the
term ‘psychic’ means.

Why do I bother to do that? Because I feel that the term ‘psychic’ comes
loaded with quite a lot of misinformed judgements and opinions, often
learned from pop culture TV shows.

As you know, we all have psychic abilities within us and I choose to refer
to those gifts as ethereal. But if you prefer to use the term psychic, please
do – just know I’m referring to the same thing in this section.

140
Below are some crystals which I believe are good for enhancing all
ethereal gifts:

 Herkimer Diamond
 Selenite
 Any Third Eye, Crown, or Spirit Chakra stones

Channelling
More specifically, the following stones are good for those experienced in
channelling spirit, and want further energy enhancing and protection:

 Rutilated Quartz
 Shattuckite
 Any Upper (Higher) Heart, Spirit, or Causal Vortex Chakra stones

Clairvoyance
These particular stones can augment one’s clairvoyant abilities:

 Aphophyllite
 Celestite
 Any Third Eye, Crown, Soul, or Spirit Chakra stones

Mediumship
For those skilled in mediumship, these crystals can aid and protect:

 Chevron Amethyst
 Labradorite
 Any Upper (Higher) Heart, Third Eye, and Soma Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid formation as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this
time you’re going to use stones and intentions for your own ethereal
benefit.

141
Karma
For those with who want to release (break away, tie-cut) negative energy
from the past and then heal those wounds, I suggest you work with the
following stones:

 Black Tourmaline
 Danburite
 Idocrase
 Lepidolite
 Rainbow Myanite
 Sunstone
 Tiger’s Eye
 Any Ears, Causal Vortex, Lower Heart, and Navel Chakra stones

Past life grid

If you want help clearing the negative energy which is weighing you down
in this life, I suggest you use this grid – keeping it in formation for as long
as necessary.

If you keep it in formation longer than a week, make sure to disassemble

the grid, cleanse the crystals, then re-assemble it again with your
purpose. This will keep its energy higher and stronger.

To set up the grid, you will need nineteen (19) stones in total: eighteen
smaller – one for each point of each Hexagram within the grid, and one
larger “Master stone” to place in the very middle.

1. Place the Master stone at the very centre of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant
healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Danburite as your Master

stone.

142
2. Now place the next six (6) stones at each of the inner most
Hexagram star’s points.

3. Now place the next six (6) stones at each point of the middle
Hexagram star’s points.

4. Then place the last six (6) stones at each point of the outermost
Hexagram star’s points.

143
144
Life purpose
Knowing “what am I here for?” in this existence isn’t always clear – so use
the following stones to help bring it into focus:

 Flourite
 Larimar
 Selenite
 Any Lower Heart and Alta Major Chakra stones

If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid formation as explained in the bodily systems chapter earlier, but this
time you’re going to use stones and intentions for your spiritual benefit.

Spiritual (angelic) connectors

For those seeking connection with their angels, spirit guides, guardians,
or similar – the following stones help facility that relationship:

 Angelite
 Seraphinite
 Tanzanite
 Tektite
 Any Spirit Chakra stones

Angel Star grid

If you want to connect with, receive protection from, or strengthen
communication with your angels, spirit guides, guardians or similar, the
Angel Star grid is ideal!

The grid can be used for yourself or for the good of others, just change
your intention to who and where you want that angelic energy to go
towards.

145
To set up the grid, you will need thirteen (13) stones in total: all relatively
similar in size but with the “Master stone” slightly larger. But if you have
more stones, that’s great! Simply place any addition stones on empty
points or other angles to create a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the very middle of the grid.

a. The Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most relevant

healing stone and could even be the same stone you used
as your “leading stone” in the healing steps earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Angelite as your Master

stone.

2. Now place the other twelve (12) stones at each of the outermost
points.

146
Chapter Recap

 Spiritual crystals can help us clear negativity from our past

incarnations as well as amplify our evolution in this life.

 Only work within the areas you are spiritually comfortable with.
For example, if you are not experienced in mediumship – do not
try to foster this ability with a stone alone. Learn and get
guidance from a teacher first before diving into that arena.

 Grid formations are a great way to further enhance a crystal, or

set of crystals, energetic properties.

147
Chapter 8. Supplementary systems

The following sections are areas of crystal healing which tend to fall
outside the general physical, emotional, and spiritual systems we’ve
covered thus far. In saying this, they can be used in conjunction with
what we’ve already covered, but can also be used completely on their
own.

Amplifiers
The following crystals are brilliant for amplifying – boosting, generating –
energy for your healing purpose. These are particularly good when
sending energy healing to other people, animals, or things which aren’t
physically close to you (distance healing).

 Blue Flourite
 Clear Quartz
 Phantom Quartz

148
If you want to amplify these stones’ healing attributes, use the Sunburst
grid formation, as explained earlier in the book.

Grounding
Having ‘grounding’ stones in your crystal tool kit is also a good idea,
especially if you’re working with clients or when doing distance healing.

 Black Obsidian
 Hematite
 Smoky Quartz

Grounding grid
To further enhance ground energy, using this grid – which is essentially
an upside down triangle – is a good idea. Especially if you find you’re
losing your way in life, or during or after a distance healing session.

To set up the grid, you will need three (3) stones in total: all about equal
size. If you have a larger one, you can use that as your “Master stone”.

1. Place the Master stone at the downward facing point of the

inverted triangle.

a. Remember, the Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most

relevant healing stone and could even be the same stone
you used as your “leading stone” in the healing steps
earlier.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Black Obsidian as your

Master stone.

2. Now place the other two (2) stones at the top two points.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.
149
b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system
crystals to use. Simply use any black crystals to place at
the points to help amplify the Master stone’s purpose.

150
On body grid
You can also use this grid on body, but only if safe and appropriate to do
so. You don’t have to put the actual drawing of the grid on the body, just
place the stones in their relevant spots.

1. Gently place the Master stone just below your feet.

2. Lay back and now place the other two (2) stones on each hip.
a. You can keep your hands on these hip stones or move
your hands down to your side.
3. Visualise yourself connecting with the earth.

151
Distance healing
To me, distance healing9 isn’t just about sending loving energy to
someone (or something) that’s physically far away. It also encompasses
world events, the past (karma), as well as the future.

In order to better harness this ability, the following stones can help you
connect to the Universal channel to send that healing upon:

 Angelite
 Apophyllite
 Danburite

Because distance healing comprises of multiple components, if you want

to amplify its effects, I suggest you use three grids in total: the Sunburst
grid, the Protection grid, and the Grounding grid.

1. Start off by laying the Protection grid so you have that loving
envelope of protective energy around you as you commence
your session. You can download the Protection grid here:
https://bit.ly/3ltzpJD

2. Now, form the Sunburst grid on top of a photo of the person,

animal, or thing you are sending your distance healing to. This
helps your energetic intention connect to the recipient with more
robustness.

3. After a session is completed, if you feel the need, keep the

Protection grid formation intact, then add the Grounding grid
formation to ensure your energy remains solid where you are.

152
Manifesting
In this context, manifesting is essentially you creating something you
desire – be it good health or your ideal life. There are many components
to manifesting, so please don’t think these stones alone will produce your
dream job or a radical change in direction.

Remember, as I mentioned earlier in the book – these stones augment

the positive energy we need to live our best lives. Without your
intentions, positivity and action – they have an uphill battle to fight.

If you’ve taken my Real Manifesting course10, you’ll know what I mean!

So you can integrate these stones with the hacks you learned from me!
Otherwise, you can use following stones in conjunction with your own
manifesting (or Law of Attraction) techniques.

 Black Obsidian
 Kyanite
 Tiger’s Eye
 Topaz

Manifesting grid
To help create and manifest your desires, charge up the energy around
you with this grid – which is essentially a star!

To set up the grid, you will need six (6) stones in total: five smaller in size,
and one larger stone which will be your “Master stone”. If you have more
stones, that’s great! Simply place any addition stones on empty points or
other angles to create a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone in the very middle of the star.

a. Remember, the Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most
relevant healing stone and could even be the same stone

153
you used as your “leading stone” in the healing steps
earlier.
b. If you’re unsure, you can use Black Obsidian or Tiger’s
Eye as your Master stone.
2. Now place the other five (5) stones at each of the star’s points.

154
Abundance grid
You can also use those same stones with the Abundance grid, particularly
in the area of financial prosperity.

To set up the grid, you will need at least sixteen (16) stones in total:
fifteen smaller in size, and one larger stone which will be your “Master
stone”. But if you have more stones, that’s great! Simply fill up as much
empty space for a more solid grid.

1. Place the Master stone at the innermost starting point of the

swirl.

a. Remember, the Master stone (aka. Keystone) is the most

relevant healing stone.

b. If you’re unsure, you can use Tiger’s Eye as your Master

stone.

2. Now place the rest of the stones evenly around the rest of the
swirl.

a. Ideally, the other stones should share similar intentions

as your Master stone, whether being additional stones of
the same type, or different stones for this system.

b. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any orange and/or clear
crystals to place at the points to help amplify the Master
stone’s purpose.

155
156
Space clearing
In context of energetic Space Clearing, if you are actively working in an
environment (indoor or outdoor) – having a wand, or tabular shaped
crystal is ideal as you walk through the area and clear.

For those who have taken my Space Clearing course11, when you’re doing
the Clearing and Refilling with Love steps, you can use a wand or tabular
shaped crystal for those motions.

For passive space clearing, place a pyramid shaped crystal in a particular

area to help it cleanse. Also, salt lamps make for good passive space
clearing tools, too! The following stones are wonderful at helping clear
negativity from spaces:

 Black Tourmaline
 Selenite
 Shungite
 Smoky Quartz

Space clearing grid

In addition to actually doing Space Clearing techniques, you can create a
grid formation that will further assist in cleansing an area of negative
energy.

This grid is a little bit different as it will run along opposing sides of the
actual space you’re wanting to clear.

To set up the grid, you will need as many stones as possible to line the
opposing sides/walls.

1. Using a zig-zag pattern, alternate a darker stone with a lighter or

clear stone.

11
Space Clearing course:

157
a. For example, Black Tourmaline with Selenite, or Smoky
Quartz with Clear Quartz.

b. In that pattern, go the entire length of the space or wall.

2. Now, on the opposing side or wall, repeat step 1.

a. Don’t worry if you do not have more specific system

crystals to use. Simply use any black crystals and clear
crystals.

158
Chapter Recap

 Supplementary system stones and grids can work on their own,

or in conjunction with the other systems in this book.

 Distance healing can be further enhanced by the formation of

more than one grid.

 Space clearing outcomes can be boosted through using a zig-zag

grid in the actual location.

159
Chapter 9. FAQs

Whilst I’ve provided quite a lot of information thus far, to further help
you along your journey, I’d like to touch on some of the more common
questions I get asked by fellow light-workers.

Do I have to use the grid graphic?

No, you don’t have to actually use a print-out of a crystal grid to make the
grid effective. As long as you have prepped your stones, set the intention,
and form the grid as per the pattern, it will work! Simply refer to the grid
template as you lay the stones down in that formation.

But in saying this, for really complicated grids, you might want to use a
print-out of the grid graphic, just to help you form it with more ease.

Can I use all the grids ‘on body’?

Typically speaking, the more simplistic formations can be used on body,
160
because the others are far too complicated (as well as not suitable) for
on body work.

When wanting to use a grid on body, you don’t need to actually use the
grid templates I’ve provided. You just need to place the relevant crystals
in their respective locations – as if the grid was there.

Of course, the best position for using grids on body is lying down. And
unless you’re only applying a few stones onto yourself, you’ll likely need
another healer to place the stones onto your body.

The easiest (thus more common) grids to use on body are the:

 Infinity grid
 Triangle grid
 Grounding grid
 Protection grid

How long can I keep a grid ‘on body’?

This really depends on how you (or your client) feels and what your goal
is for the session. Keeping grids on body for about 15 – 30 minutes is a
good place to start.

Can I create my own grid?

Yes you sure can! The grids I’ve supplied in this book are just some of the
ones I use and am more familiar with. But there are times when I create
my own grids – spur of the moment – to suit a particular need at the time.

If you find yourself arranging stones in a particular pattern that makes

you feel good – that’s a grid! Just because you’re not following a specific
pre-organised pattern doesn’t make it less effective. If the formation
you’ve created works – then it works!

When do I retire a stone?

This is a good question! There are times when a stone has reached its
limit and can no longer be recharged. Remember, just as we respect our
161
elders, our teachers, and fellow healers – we must respect our healing
stones, too.

If you can see, and intuit, that your stone has become too tired (even if
you do take good care and cleanse it), do not continue to put it through
its paces.

Keep it, love it, and let it ‘retire’ from your healing toolkit. But you can
still allow it to remain in your life, perhaps as decoration – to remind you
of its healing purpose – and to radiate its wisdom over you and your
newer stones.

What else can I do to help heal?

As I’ve mentioned a few times before, there are so many components to
our existence that it’s very unlikely there’s a solitary thing which is
creating an undesired outcome.

When we’re faced with an issue, we have to take a deep breath and
remember to look at the whole12. Even if we don’t like what we see. If we
ignore all the contributing factors, then we will find it very difficult (if not
impossible) to achieve our healing goals.

In saying this, use this moment to review your diet, exercise, stress-levels,
toxic intake (bet it smoking, alcohol, or medications), and sleep and rest
patterns to see if you can find an area for improvement.

Also consider getting help from other trained natural healers – not only
can their positive and loving energy help you, connecting with like-
minded people is healing in and of itself!

Is it better to lay down or stand up?

When placing quite a few crystals on yourself, it’s much easier to sit-up
in order to work with crystals. However, if you’re only using a couple, you

12
Video blog, “Questions to ask so you can truly heal”:
https://naturalhealer.com.au/2020/05/you-can-truly-heal/
162
can be lying down.

But when working with someone else, for ease of movement and comfort
– they should lie down.

In saying this, being comfortable is more important than what position

you’re sitting or lying down in. If you (or your client) is relaxed, then the
healing will be more effective than if not!

Can crystals coerce others?

I do not teach any sort of techniques which promote the bending of
someone else’s will. What I’ve shared with you is not a way to coerce or
force a particular ‘want’ or ‘desire’ onto someone.

As I’ve mentioned throughout this book, crystal healing is (for me) purely
about bolstering and aiding a loving intention for you (or someone else’s)
greatest and highest good. Crystal healing is about love, protection,
evolution, and positive healing and growth.

Which direction to point terminated crystals?

Generally speaking, single terminated crystals should point outward
(away) from yourself when you need help releasing energy. On the flip-
side, point them inward (toward) yourself if you want to acquire more
energy.

If you want to release negative energy, then re-charge yourself with

positive energy, I suggest you start with single terminated stones facing
outward, to release negativity first. Then after that, cleanse them – set
their intentions –then place them facing inward.

Unless they are working in harmony with each other, I don’t suggest
pointing single terminated stones inward and outward at the same time.
Having so much energy influx, as well as outflow, happening at the same
time might overwhelm you and be counter-intuitive.

163
Can I use the same type of stone on all Chakras?
Whilst there are ideal stones for specific Chakras, they aren't strictly
designated for use only on that Chakra. This means you can use them on
other Chakras or areas if you (or your client) feel drawn to use them and
receive benefit from them.

For example, let's say you have a client who's spiritually evolved, but they
are 'too much in their ego', and in a way that disconnects them with their
surroundings and others.

Using Shungite (which is usually more a Chakras of Matter stone), is a

good way to 'ground' their Chakras of Spirit (Crown, Third Eye and Throat)
a bit more. But you wouldn't use Shungite on their Chakras of Spirit if your
client was still in the process of opening and evolving those Chakras.

Can I wear stones all day or all the time?

I don’t recommend wearing specific healing stones this frequently. But it
really depends on the situation, and the stone, so don’t take that as a
general rule.

For example, if you wear a stone during your work day because it helps
give you more energy, that’s great. But you wouldn't want to continue
wearing it after work and into the night because you’ll find it more
difficult to calm down to rest.

On the other hand, if you work in a stressful atmosphere as well as live a

hectic home life, wearing calming stones continuously can indeed be
helpful. Just remember to give any long-use stones a break from time to
time, too!

Can I use one type of stone for everything?

If you find that you prefer to only use one stone, there’s nothing wrong
with that! For example, both Amethyst and Clear Quartz are
powerhouses in terms of their range of healing qualities. And they can
definitely be used in most situations.

164
The only drawback to only ever using one type of stone means you won’t
have the opportunity to explore the other benefits and connections that
can be made with other crystals.

That and sometimes people resonate more with a particular stone over
another – which means they may not receive as much benefit if you don’t
happen to have the stone they best connect with.

Can crystals be used with reflexology or massage?

Yes, if you are qualified to do another healing modality, such as
reflexology or massage, you can most definitely used crystals as part of
your treatment. Of course, this means your client needs to understand
what you’re doing with these stones and consent to their inclusion.

Typically speaking, egg-shaped and smooth wands work best when

mixing crystal healing this these sorts of modalities.

165
