My Personal Timeline
Timeline
August 17, 2005
I was born!
April 2016
I moved to Canada with my family, and had
to adapt to a whole new culture and
lifestyle. Immigrating to Canada changed me
as a person since a lot of my beliefs, values,
and perspective changed as I interacted with
new people.
March 2020
During the lockdown, I took time to work on
myself as a daughter, sister, and student, and
just as a human being. I changed quite a bit as
I became more responsible and mature. I feel
proud of myself for overcoming all the
struggles I faced during this time.
March 2021
I moved to Langley, which was a little
difficult for me since changing schools when
there were barely 10 weeks left of the
school year was nerve-wrecking. I was going
through a hard time, but I feel proud of
myself for handling it well and overcoming
those struggles.
July 2021
I got my first job, which was very nerve-
wrecking. It was a new experience and an
excellent opportunity for me to develop
my professional and interpersonal skills.
My Personal
Timeline (Continued)
June 2022
I received my report card for grade 11, and I
felt proud of my grades. I was really anxious
for grade 11 as I was worried about all the
academic courses I had taken, but looking back
now, I believe I did fairly well. I worked quite
hard and improved a lot as a student especially
in terms of my learning strategies.
September 2022
I have now started grade 12, my final year in
high school, so it feels significant and
meaningful. It honestly all seems very
stressful, but I’m determined to have a
successful and enjoyable year. I plan on
trying my best and stepping out of my
comfort zone this year.
