With industrial sewing machines, it is normal to carry out work while positioned directly in front of moving parts
such as the needle and thread take-up lever, and consequently there is always a danger of injury that can be
caused by these parts. Follow the instructions from training personnel and instructors regarding safe and cor-
rect operation before operating the machine so that you will know how to use it correctly.

eyes or onto your skin, otherwise inflammation can result.
Furthermore, do not drink the oil under any circumstances, as it can cause vomiting and diarrhoea.

right, insert the bobbin into the bobbin case.
2. Pass the thread through the slot 0 and under the ten-
sion springe.
3. Pull the thread out through the hole in the end of the

4. Check that the bobbin turns clockwise when the thread
is pulled.
5. Hold the latch 0 on the bobbin case and insert the bob-
bin case into the rotary hook.

1. Turn the machine pulley to move the feed dog to its highest position above the needle plate.
2. Loosen the two set screws G.
3. Turn the feed bracket shaft 0 in the direction of the arrow within a range of goo with respect to the standard position.
• In order to prevent puckering, lower the front of the feed dog 0 (Figure A).
• In order to prevent the material from slipping, raise the front of the feed dog 0 (Figure B).
4. Securely tighten the set screws G.
* The height of the feed dog 0 will change after the angle has been adjusted, so it will be necessary to re-adjust the
height of the feed dog 0.

* The synchronizer consists of two elements which are used to detect the need le position. One of these elements is used
to control the needle down signal and the thread trimmer signal.
* When the power is on and the machine is stopped in the needle down posi tion, there should be an 18 to 22 mm gap be-
tween the needle plate top and bottom edge of the need le set screw. When the machine is stopped in the needle up
position and the pull ey reference line is aligned with the belt cover reference line, there should be a 10 to 12 mm gap
between the needle plate top and needle tip with thin, medium, or thick material, and a 10 to 14 mm gap wi th th ick ma-
terial.
If adjustment is necessary, refer to the procedure below.

1. Tilt back the sewing machine head.
2. Remove the screw 0, and then remove the shuttle stopper 8.
3. Remove the flat-head screw E), and then remove the fixed knife G.
o If the fixed knife has lost its sharpness, use an oil stone to sharpen it, as shown in Fig. A.
Movable knife replacement

1. Raise the presser foot by using the presser foot lever.
2. Remove the flat-head screw 0, and then remove the needle plate 0.
3. Turn the sewing machine pulley until the needle bar reaches its highest position.
4. Press the thread cutter connecting rod G by hand in the direction of the arrow until a position at which the flat-head

screws can be seen is reached, and then stop.
5. Remove the flat-head screws 0, and then remove the movable knife 0.
* When removing the needle plate 0 and the movable knife 0, be sure to first remove the needle.
* Reassembly can be performed by simply reversing the above procedure.
